The copy protection software used in the PC version sucks ass.  If anything, I'd get the X360 version.

I don't remember how they did it in TFC, but in the original Quake/QuakeWorld TF you could literally keep medics from hitting you with their poison "axe" if you unloaded in time.  It'd be unfair if HWGs moved any faster.

The HWG takes a lot of practice to get used to.  Using them efficiently requires the proper position, a quick trigger finger, and some support.  One of the most useful things that HWGs do is weaken attackers to that the rest of the team can take them out easier.  In 2fort, placing one in one of the tight corridors heading into the flag room can be deadly for any attacker, save for possibly uninjured soldiers.  If you can block a scout you can easily take him/her out after a second or two of firing.

Trust me, they're incredibly useful (and potentially annoying if you choose to be a flag running) if you know how to use them.
