well we bomb shit all the time, like the nukes on japan which killed many many many many civilians. take that into consideration.  ended a war, but it could have been done with less civilian deaths.  pretty barbaric in my opinion.

id just like more of a clarification as to the reason why russia is doing what it is doing.  the answer is probably in the article, but if it is, its not blatant enough for me to understand.

I really, really disagree with that. I strongly believe the course of action the US took in nuking Nagasaki and Hiroshima was the best they could've possibly done.

If they hadn't done that, they were planning on a full-scale invasion of Japan which would've lasted well into 1946 and resulted in MILLIONS of absolutely unpreventable military and civilian casualties on both sides. The casualties in the bombings of those two cities combined I believe didn't exceed 250,000, even after all of the fallout afterwards.
