I'm just curious as to what like s.net for, and why you come (ir)regularly and post. I guess you may also feel free to just add something you like as time goes on.

What I like is that it's small, but active. We only have something like 10 real regulars or so, but we manage quite a few posts between us, and over a rather large amount of subject matter, as well.
I like that we don't have too many rules about language, or how we must act, as long as we're being reasonable.
I like the people who post here (you guys are all cool, unlike quite a large portion of the internet).
Hell, I like that you guys actually know how to type properly.
Essentially, s.net is the antithesis to everything that you commonly find on other forums. I mean, pretty much every other forum I've been to recently has been filled with idiots (who either can't type better than a drunken cat, or have no clear perception of the word argue, and take everything personally, whether I intended for it to be taken that way or not), essentially dead, too based on one subject, or so full of people that it's hard to really tell a regular from a new member other than by post count, which isn't always an indication (anyone remember snowcrafta?)

I first followed Spectere here, and stayed and continued to post regularly because I like the community. And the site is a good size; not too active to not be able to follow everything like in some forums though active enough to come back a couple times a day and see a handful of posts.

I do find it rather slow at times though. But that's just because I'm addicted.

For me, I'd say all of the above things said (hopefully more reasons to follow). Met spec, spec told me about the ricer thread. I posted some pics on it and since then I've been around.

I was actually kinda intimidated when I first joined. I knew spec, sharde and eggman posted here, and I knew them from a0, but I saw all of them as being rather important people who've made a fair bit of contribution to a0 and such. But I joined because spec was cool, and I wanted to get away from the drama that was going on at a0.

I only stay here so I can brag about how I've been registered here the longest and because I've always had the user ID of 1, which is consistently lower than everyone else. Also, it describes me to a T, since I'm number 1 and all. ;)

I like this place better than A0 and ODI for example because both of those places had a pretty tight knit group. I had a hard time trying to keep up and get to know the people at these sights due to an excessive amount of inside jokes and the constant passive insults to new posters. This place rulez because everyone is more than willing to accept new people into the community as opposed to having to AAA quazzer to be in wit da kidz. Like Sqthreer said, you guys are pretty open minded about things, which is totally freaking awesome.

Yeah, I like being able to talk about more than simply SM, or some other small topic. We're all geeky enough to talk about anything, be it books, movies, games, music, or anything else we can think of, and most of the people here will more or less know what we're talking about :P
