YES.  And it's really kind of amusing how many of my teammates just stared at my character during a slow point of the match.

Also, my friend and I have the oddest case of Xbox 360 unreliability ever (the sheer unluckiness makes it a sort of an anti-accomplishment, so here it is).  My wired X360 headset "died" the other day -- the ear piece didn't work at all but the mic was fine.  I figured it'd just gotten damaged during the move so I picked up another one...which did the same thing.

I plugged it into my friend's controller and it worked fine.  Obviously the jack on my controller is screwed up...grr.  Should be easy to fix with a little bit of soldering, so whatever...probably just a severed wire.

Since we realized that we have two working headsets, my friend plugged it into his controller so that he wouldn't have to use the shitty overpriced wireless ones that Microsoft sells (which have an effective range of 1ft and constantly drop the connection to the Xbox...le sigh).  We plug it in and test it out and find out that the microphone component of the headset connector on his controller is bad.

So we have two controllers with bad headset jacks -- one that doesn't let you hear and one that doesn't let you speak.  FDhasoihn2kjlm,gfr./a#@$><!5.3/

is it just me, or does it seem like it's harder to read notes while dancing to a chart than doing it on the keyboard?

Hell yes it is.  I use C700 on both index and spread now yet keep it around 400-450 bpm on foot.  I can read higher speeds when I rape the bar (I max out at roughly 600-650 when I cling to the thing) but I prefer to stay in my no-bar comfort zone since I enjoy playing without the bar more than with it if possible.

If a chart is kind of cluttered I'll usually put the speed up around 500-550 and slap hallway on.  It's awesome how it spreads the arrows apart yet gives the illusion of a slower speed.

Well, if there was a way you could click and choose which topics could come or stay, it would be great, but IIRC I don't think you can do that.

Sadly, no.

Technically I could weed through the database and manually add the new posts but holy fuck that would be a lot of work. XD  The SQL dump being a 14MB text file doesn't make that task sound any more attractive.

IMO we've already started, and we have a foundation again, so let's keep this one. However, i would kinda like to see the old version up, for any posts or things I missed

Yeah, that's a good idea.  Not to mention easy to do, as you well know.

I topped the kill list on a game of Rainbow Six Vegas tonight despite being the lowest-ranked person on the server (Private First-Class).  The people on my team were groaning about having a private on their team until I unleashed the fury on our enemies...at which point then they asked me to join their next game.

I also made it up to Specialist rank today.  Woo!

Also, my character now looks like this:

Got a few 100% judgment scores on DJ MAX Portable 2.  That game wins.

good score, pobeli.. I think I'm as good as I'll ever be. :\

Nah, you're not; you just hit a plateau.  You'll hit a ton of those, believe me.

Can you compile the latest version found on http://www.holywar.net/index.builder/en/freeware/holyshout3.html  for me? For some reason, my shell is getting errors trying to compile it. :\

I'll see what I can do tomorrow...rather tired at the moment.

If you want to try something else in the meantime, try using gnumake or gmake (forgot how they put it) instead of just "make".  While some of the GNU and BSD tools are similar there are enough differences to make them totally incompatible in some cases (i.e. GNU make won't handle the ports collection at all while BSD make chokes on a lot of GNU automake derived Makefiles).

Well, it's kind of a toss-up for me... Perhaps we should make this a poll?

This is a pretty major decision for the site so I'd rather see more discussion on the topic than just having people tick a selection.

If spec bring back 3.0, it will be just the same without the stupid fucking retarded bullshit joomla thing.

Exactly.  Joomla was a separate entity altogether.  Even if we roll back to v3.0 it'll keep this interface.

Also, I forgot to mention this before -- if you don't like the purple you can change your theme in your profile.  I set it as default because I like how it came out. :)

Finally, bear in mind that even if I were to roll back v3.0, it would most likely follow a similar direction to v4.0 (namely, the rules would be v4.0's, some of the new/modified sections, like the Cesspool, would be added, etc).  Really, it would be more about bringing the old content back rather than dramatically changing what they have here.

What I probably should have asked was this: do you guys want all the old posts back?

hay giyz. Anyone have access to a FreeBSD/Unix machine? =]]]]]]]

I have FreeBSD on my system.  Whatchu need?

Hopefully gone forever.  Tox was stupid.

Don't be a dick, Pancake.  Consider this a warning.

Also, I changed both your and Kuroneko's names back to what they should be and reset your avatar and took the "pancake is..." image out of Kuroneko's sig.  Whatever negativity is going on between you two, knock it off.

Okay, so I'm somewhat settled in at the new 'partment.  Still yarring Wi-Fi but that should change within a week.

Anyhoo, there are two options:

1) Stay with s.net v4.0 and start fresh (well, with what we've got).
2) Revert to s.net v3.0 and lose all posts made since the revert.

I have everything I need to roll back right now (I didn't before) so it's up to you guys; I don't really care which path we take.
