video edition, pretty sure i said everything that needed to be said in the video, with some rambling, but the video is only 4 minutes long so it shouldn't be too bad.

I have a local game store that takes in lots of rare/valuable games and sells them at usually low costs.
(not necessarily from that store)
Metroid (NES) - $9
Breath of Fire (SNES) - free after I bought some other games
Jet Force Gemini (N64) - $3
Mario Kart Double Dash!! (GCN) - $10
Wing Commander III (PS1) - $4
Final Fantasy IX BLACK LABEL (PS1) - $20
Final Fantasy X (PS2) - $5
inFAMOUS (PS3) - $25
Killzone 2 (PS3) - $25
[Prototype] (PS3) - $20
Alex Kidd in the Lost Stars (SMS) - $3
Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean (SAT) - $40
Magic Knight Rayearth (SAT) - $40
Myst (PC) - $2
Diablo Battle Chest (PC) - $10
I also go to thrift stores hoping I'll find a copy of Earthbound for a dollar, but they never have any video games at all.
-
Magic Knight Rayearth (SAT) - $40
Fucking awesome. If I had a Saturn, I would DEFINITELY try to find that game... Mind you, if there's one thing I'll collect, it's MKR stuff... I made a torrent ages ago containing the entire series in MKVs, all the soundtracks/albums (minus the ridiculously rare stuff that I didn't even know existed), the SNES rom, both the unpatched and the hard hack that someone made, and a rip of the soundtrack from the SNES (converted to MP3 manually).
-
Albert Odyssey: Legend of Eldean (SAT) - $40
So you're going to send this to me for free for my birthday right
-
Eternal Sonata (360) for $12.50 :D thx gg ebay
-
going to make a list of the rest of the ps1 games i want to own. still a decent number left i don't have.
-
The steam sale. Namely Mass Effect, Red Faction Go-rilla, Half life, Half life opposing force, the witcher, and the Max Payne pack for under 5 bucks each.
-
so much nicer putting what i would say in a post in a video.
*edit*
shadow man works, but i need a memory card for it.
nba jam and blast corps did not work, but a cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a q tip did the trick.
soon as i can get over to a bros ill check out home alone 2. later down the road ill probably buy a retro duo so i can get my snes/nes on.

I didn't know Black Label FFIX was worth that much -- I got one for $15 at my local Game Force. Otherwise, their game prices tend to be a little higher than I usually see. I've gotten most of the original Mega Man games (all besides 3, 4, which I got beforehand, and 7, which is nigh-impossible to get at a reasonable price unless you go to eBay or So I Heard) from them at $10 or $15 a piece, though. Dunno if that's much of a deal or not. Their FFT wasn't as cheap as their FFIX, it cost $25 :(
-
i am extremely satasfied with the quality and price of that copy of brave fencer musashi, among the hordes of other stuff i got.
-
I just got a 360 with 2 controllers, 1 wired, 1 wireless with the charger pack and usb cord from the controller to the system, a 20 gig HDD, an intercooler addon, Forza Motorsport 2, a 360 remote control and HD+HDMI cable cords....For $40. Kijiji ftw.

What the fuck am I reading and where do I put my money?

Treasure Mountain.............. We had that on the school computers in first grade and would play whenever we had computer lab. I don't mean to brag, but I was pretty good at it. I wouldn't even flinch at the problems involving double-digit numbers.

Jesus christ I still have that game on floppies somewhere here. I killed the /shit/ out of most of those TLC games, that Operation Neptune one was the best shit ever.

I didn't even mention the part where I think THUG is the best of the series, and 4 is second-best
EDIT: figured I should mention I prefer THUG because of the online mode

I'll agree that 4 is second-best, but you think that THUG is the best?! gtfo my internets
-
4 > 2 > 1 >> 3 >>>>>> ALL OTHER GAMES INVOLVING TONY HAWK
im surprised how nobody at all commented on my sweet xenogears, mr domino, and space channel 5 gets. i don't think i like you guys. bye.

Shit, sorry, I didn't even notice through the strangling cloud of blasphemy. :( How in the hell did you manage to get a copy of Xenogears? Doesn't that usually go for like $100,000,000 on eBay or something crazy-ridiculous?
As for your Tony Hawk awesomeness, I'd personally swap 4 and 2 but I agree with the rest of them. I'm probably biased because I played 2 so goddamn much, though (IIRC, I was a hair away from 100%ing it on the PC version). I thought 3 was pretty weak, but the new ones are just ass. THUG was decent if you ignored the lame-o story, but then again it was like a level pack for THPS4 if you did that.

especially the black label version of the game. the case is a bit cracked, but if i can get it into a snazzy new jewel case. that's essentially a very good quality version of that game, which people sell easily over $150.00 all the time, for $35.00. you would be surprised what you can find at your local (or close by) used game shop. find a bunch of these places within an hour or so away, and you can save a lot of cash from the internet alternative. why the fuck would i pay $200.00 for a copy of ff7 on amazon when the place 20 minutes away has a copy for $35.00?
that gametraders hasn't disappointed me yet. i recall i believe december 7th 2007(so i don't sound crazy, it was the day before my dads birthday the year before i got a job), i had this desire to play starfox adventures, a game i rented one time years prior. looked everywhere in town, nothing, went into gametraders before leaving back home, excellent condition copy of the game for $7.00. played the game for the remainder of the day.

but if you kick him off the internet, THUG isn't is favorite Tony Hawk game. If you leave him ON the internet, then THUG is his favorite game, and Sectere demands his removal for such an opinion.

Yeah, very true. A friend of mine ended up finding a couple of cheap copies of Suikoden II at a local game store once (like $10-ish), and I believe those were going for about $100 on eBay at the time.

Real classics >>>>>> emulated classics.
I paid $35 for an SNES and $40 for a copy of Super Metroid because I thought that the game was fantastic enough to own, not to mention some of the other fantastic SNES games that I've collected in the meantime. And yes, I had the ROMs for all of them before I bought the system.
Yeah, I know: hurrdurr.
