Very likely the most kickass piece of music that's ever been in an Unreal Tournament map, ever (.s3m format, probably plays in winamp or any other music player you can think of these days). (http://kuroneko.spectere.net/music/neve.s3m)

i dunno what map it's originally from but it's used in a map I play frequently called "DM-Titania]["

info:

"Neve's Crossing"
apiece by Alexander
Brandon for
Unreal Mission Pack
(c)1996 Straylight

I dunno about everyone else but I dig the weird synthesized string instrument.

Sounds like a combination saw/square or something with lots of weird pitch modifications/effects.
It's actually supposed to be something like an electric guitar.

Yeah, I was looking through the file later and saw it was called Dist4.wav or something similar, so yeah probably a guitar

I like it though, I'll probably use it in one of my modules at some point -- beats anything gm.dls has to offer

I'd of course use it in combination with dist1, which was in the file too

I remember trying to duplicate the sound before, by actually combining a saw and sine wave... it didn't work very well, but sounded kind of cool anyway

It's actually square and saw, I think. Maybe some sine thrown in, but mostly square.
