So I thought it would be a cool idea to make a thread. Here you can discuss competitive players and all that, strategies, or anything.
Oh, and if anyone else is up to it, I'd like to get some games going with other s.netters. I can play IP games, just no battle.net...

i really REALLY REALLY suck at the game, and getting my ass kicked only to start a new game, building my shit all over again...i don't really like that.
but watching games over the youtube/whatever hosts em, hell yea. i would pay money to go to a tournament jaedong is in.

And by the way, I suck ass at SC too. About the onyl way I can reliably beat the computer is rushing.

lookin pretty nice, despite the youtube blur + the camera blur. from the looks of it, zerglings don't need to be speed upgraded, as it seems to be the default speed.
also, any sound that sounds like it is from the original sc, almost guarantee it will be changed, it is just a placeholder sound. the new zergling sounds pretty nice when you click them however, so this is cool.

im actually sort of worried my pc won't be able to handle the thing at a decent (AT LEAST 30ish fps) framerate.
2gb ram, 2.2ghz cpu, geforce 7800 (256mb D:)
well if i can run the ut3 demo on medium with around 40fps i shouldn't have any problems with this.

From what I've heard, it shouldn't be much of a problem. I think blizz said it would be able to run on some older machines fairly well.

UT3 is fucktardedly optimized, though. Even my laptop can run it (Pentium M 1.73GHz, 2GB RAM, RADEON X300 64MB).

Ill play 1v1 against anyone anytime if they want. I dont really play anymore, but SC is an awesome game and i'd be willing to play anytime :D

Yeah, I can do IP games, but I can't do B-net. Anyone who wants to hit me up for an IP 1 on 1 or other games (s.net game anyone?) can just contact me through email/msn/s.net and let me know.

lol, zerg rushing is so fucking easy.
Try rushing protoss :P That takes a bit of know-how to get right, since they cost twice as much as lings or marines (of course, they are also pretty badass at doing damage, but decent micro with lings or marines can still defeat them.)

I don't really feel like re-installing it... It's not like IP play is so much worse than b-net, unless you're playing with a random group. For 1 on 1 or small games, IP is fine. I don't mind giving my IP address out to be host.

Also, he pwned me hardcore in the game we played... I hate playing against the zerg so much. It's so easy to get a huge army with them.
