But really, I never even played Super Metroid until I was 12 or so, and never really even appreciated it as a Greatest Game Ever until I was in high school. Tyrian was the first vertical shooter game I ever played, around the time I was 6 years old, and it holds a very special place in my heart, even more than Super Mario Bros 3 (another game I would suck off) and about as much as Zelda 2 (BEST ZELDA GAME, DON'T ARGUE) Also, Tyrian's music is catchy as hell. im not going to deny that super metroid is a VERY VERY good game. but i don't know, i guess i enjoy trying to piss people off who circlejerk over anything. you could even throw me in for mass effect, but im pretty sure ive stated that i know why a person wouldn't enjoy the game, there's many many flaws that i guess i can get over. which is different than insulting someone that doesn't like the vidya i like.

and if i stir up some drama, that's fine, i enjoy angering the "NO MAN MY OPINION ON VIDYA IS RIGHT", i get off to that stuff.

I played that game and felt ripped off. It looked good, but the combat was basically "tap A to win" and it was painfully boring. That and I loved WW, shit had charm yo. Also had the only Ganondorf to have actual motivation for his actions.

He's a villain... Is there really any need for more motivation?

I will admit though that it is nice to have a well thought out plot.. But sometimes it's not really necessary to enjoy the game.

It seems to be pretty split between people who didn't mind sailing and people who HATED it.

Honestly I kinda liked sailing and just exploring the little random islands I came across, that plus the using the telescope to find islands on the horizon was fun.

Also how were Oracle of seasons/ages? I remember renting one of them but I don't remember much (renting hand helds, lolwut).

DX fixed most of them, BOOOOOORRRRING. The bonus dungeon was kind of mediocre, anyway. I ended up playing most of DX in black and white, anyway, because I had a Game Boy Pocket way back then.

it's pretty neat being different characters playing your own campaigns kind of at the same time as gordon is doing his stuff, and seeing certain events which happened in half-life.

Difficult as all fuck, it took me forever to beat Ages when it came out. It's pretty decent.

Dead Space for me though. Jesus christ way to do a survival horror properly :(
