You need to redirect spectere.net/smf/ to spectere.net/forums/ or the opposite when you move, it seems like you have a fun time switching back and forth between using those 2 folders for the forums. (actually, IIRC it was /forum/ before, but either way)

I kept thinking that the site was not back up yet because I got the 404 page when visiting the /smf/ (which is what my home page was).

The site has been at /forums for a very, very long time now (since before the index.html page was created).  And I'm not going to keep redirects around for years on end for this very reason.  It's too hard to keep them up-to-date.
