Title: Follow me on Tumblr!
Post by: Spectere on September 02, 2010, 01:58:18 AM
http://spectere.tumblr.com (http://spectere.tumblr.com)

Someone I know was using that Tumblr thing for a while, so I figured I'd give it a go, too.  Kinda reminds me of an awesome mixture between a full blogging system and Twitter.  If it's as neat as it seems to be, I might make it my "official" blog.

Awesome. Also, shameless girlfriend's tumbler insert: http://Vinshuka.tumblr.com

Make her feel better by following, lol.

I decided to make one (http://bobbias.tumblr.com) as well. Let's see how long it lasts :P Of course, there's nothing there for now.

Spec edit: Fixed the links.

My little sister uses this compulsively... I don't know if I could bring myself to sign up and not feel like a fool ;o;

Eh, just don't tell her about it. XD

It is pretty nifty, though.  I just like how incredibly easy it is to make posts and stuff with it.  I also like how "replies" can done on your own Tumblelog with the reblog feature, which can potentially allow your post to spread exponentially.  Basically, you make a post.  If your friend wants to reply, he/she would reblog it and add their reply to it.  Then, your friend's friends would be able to see that reply and possibly add their own two cents.

It's kind of a cool system, really.  Plus, you can set it so that all of your posts get automatically thrown up onto a Twitter account, which can increase your, uh, "fanbase" even more.

So basically, this is like Twitter, but with less limitations on what you can post?

If anything, I'd say it's more like WordPress or LiveJournal with the ease of use and social aspects of Twitter.  Best of both worlds, really.
