Post by: Spectere on February 17, 2008, 04:00:13 AM

funny people.  norm macdonald kicked ass in saturday night live, and harland williams has a unique style of comedy which never ceases to make me laugh.

i could think of a lot more entertainment wise, as a good percentage of whats on american/canadian tv(as far as i know, its basically the same thing) is canadian.

w00t. Anyway, Americans don't tend to get as many Canadian stations as they could. Of course, that also means Canadians miss out on a lot of American channels.

Mirth Prolan
Darby Janssen

Holy fuck I think my head just exploded.

Yeah, DarbyJ was a ZZTer.  In fact, to make matters even more hilarious, he was Mirth Prolan (an arch0wl.com person-man), the person that flaffl is referring to.

Funny how things come full circle like that.

It's frackin' crazy, that's what its deal is. :)

BOXED MILK FO LYFE!

They have milk in cardboard containers; they just don't have the hard plastic jugs.

Man, now that's intense.

Indeed.

Remember VgameT?  He's...kinda in the MegaZeux/ZZT community as well.  I was idling in #mzx and #a0.com one time and he was in both channels and I was like wtf wow.

I haven't heard it yet.  My dad said it was pretty good, though (he's pretty much my source for Rush stuff :)).

I haven't heard it either, but I've heard a couple songs on it. They're a bit more "rock"ish than some of their synthy stuff, there's a lot more guitar and such, but it's still Rush. It's quite good, and catchy.

Sweet.  I'll have to do some digital procurement when I get back home, then. =)

I actually got lucky and heard some of their stuff before the CD came out. I don't know how many other stations did, but mine got a copy of I think 2 of their songs before the album came out.

I just queued up 10 hours of Rush (i.e. everything I have on my external as of now) in Foobar thanks to this thread.  gj, everyone!

It's kind of fun to hear how much Geddy Lee's voice changed as time progressed.  I'm listening to the Fly By Night album now and...hahahaha. :)

Haha, yeah. He sounds really weird when he's not singing though, it's like a completely different voice.
