Oh, yeah, I know, I played through Vanilla the first time. The X-Ray engine is optimized so poorly it's funny, but at least the version they used in CoP isn't nearly as buggy. Oh well, I still enjoy shootin' me some russians, despite any framerate issues.

Also: Kritzkrieg + Soldier pretty much equates to the entire enemy team wiped, multiple times. 8)

Well, it's also probably my lack of RAM, but running it maxed out really rapes my framerate, particularly in big maps like the Military Warehouses and Red Forest. I think it's mostly the new shaders and lighting effects, the Argoprom underground took my FPS to like 3 from all the flashing lights and stuff when I had my lighting/shadows quality turned up, but turning it down to medium made it run just fine. All the new textures and stuff are really nice though, and there's very few actual gameplay tweak, I'm so used to running Oblivion Lost where you get all the crazy artifacts that basically make you invincible towards the end of the game that I forgot how much of a difficulty spike there is at Red Forest/Pripyat.

Well, I didn't actually bother to stand in line for four hours to play DNF, but a few of my friends who got 3-day passes to PAX did, and they were pretty impressed by it. And they got some neato swag, my friend got a bottle of steroids ;o;

So basically, this is like Twitter, but with less limitations on what you can post?

I've only done acid once, but it was better than the dozenish times I've done shrooms combined. If the place and company were just right, I would definitely do it again. Preferably at the beach again.

Yeah, this seems to be the general consensus. I think I've only met one or two people that prefer shrooms to acid, and I think it's because they're more of the "omg spiritual revelations i am a filthy hippy patchouli oil i am at one with the universe" types. I still rly want to try 2c-___ though. :<

Yeah man, I love me some acid. P much takes out all the negative aspects of shrooms for me (ridiculous mood swings, stomach uneasiness, etc), while lasting like three times as long.

Holy shit, I just found out that those Bic disposable lighters can make smoke rings if you light them and then immediately let off the fuel. I don't mean spark it, I mean light it and then let it go. It makes a smoke ring.

Yeah I figured that out a while ago, I basically shit myself, but I was pretty damn baked at the time, so I p much forgot about it until you mentioned it again.

@Sneaky - o u, now you should try to find some acid. :V!

Shoot those crystals on the walls. It took me like 300 years to figure out what the fuck to do on that level as a kid. :|

I'm not sure how I managed to miss it until now, but Squarepusher's Just A Souvenir is a pretty damn awesome album. I always forget that I like Squarepusher :<

Ah yeah, MAP26 is...an experience.  To make matters, uh, better, most of the later HR levels made saving with the classic Doom engine impossible due to the sheer thing count in some of them.  Must suck for speedrunners when they want to try out different things, considering everything but the official DOS Doom executables are banned on sites like COMPET-N.

Yeah I stopped trying with speedruns a few years back, I prefer just going for 100/100/100 now, unless the level is specifically designed not to let you do so. Although I have tied the world record for TAS speedruns on map01... rofl

Also: gonna go into Arena.net's offices tonight and test out GW2, I'll report back.
