Random Chat / Respond if you're still active here!
« on: December 16, 2023, 08:42:27 AM »
I've been checking the forum out randomly for the last year or so, but haven't seen much activity lately. Wanting to see our current userbase and continue to converse and update each other on our regular lives!
Hope you're all doing well and am looking forward to hearing about everyone's lives and how things are going.

And yes. I'm still using the same avatar and sig since what, 2004? Sue me or fight me. I welcome both. Hahaha. :)

Random Chat / What's been happing in our real lives?
« on: October 04, 2022, 11:11:39 AM »
i know this board isn't *too* active, but in the end we're still all friends and have a story to tell.
As for me, I decided to give up my life in Canada, including the car audio world, bass competitions and everything else I had going for me, to go back to the Philippines and live my life with my daughter. Supporting her and giving her a good life.
So currently, am in the Philippines, found myself a new amazing girlfriend, starting my own business and raising my daughter and I couldn't be happier.

What's everyone else been doing with their lives? I hope everyone is doing well and will continue to do so.

Feel free to share your personal life stories here, because I'm pretty sure everyone would like to know how others are doing and are wishing the best for everyone. <3 <3

« on: December 24, 2021, 07:27:00 PM »
Merry Christmas to all you awesome fuckers. We may not talk too too much, but in the end, doesn't matter. You're all awesome and I wish you all an awesome Christmas and a fun new year! Love you all!!
Feel free to discuss what you guys did, presents, events, outings, etc.
I did absolutely nothing besides get drunk and will be going to my mothers with the family tomorrow for dinner. Other than that, a very mild Christmas for me this year. New years, maybe a different story, haha.

Gaming / Got myself a new headset and sound card. Thoughts?
« on: September 15, 2020, 06:13:31 PM »
Went and picked up the Sound Blaster AE-5plus (heard nothing but good things about it), and grabbed a pair of Psyko 5.1 true surround sound headphones. I had them way back in the day and they were amazing, and now these updated ones apparently are the bees knees. Waiting for the headphones to come in, currently.

Anyone know anything about these pieces of gear and if they're good/worth it when it comes to true 5.1 audio instead of the USB simulated surround sound audio and what not?  Links below for reference.

Gaming / FFVII Remake

Discuss.

I've already capped at lvl 50 and maxed out all my materias. Working on hard mode and fight challenges. Awesome game, but kinda pisses me off that they're releasing it in episodes. Any idea of when the next episode will be released?

Computing / How the FUCK can I start livestreaming on Youtube or twitch.
« on: December 16, 2018, 12:37:14 AM »
Seriously. I'm 100% lost.
If I can get some sort of full walkthru, literally step by step, so I can start livestreaming, that'd be great. Cause I wanna livesteam and game for everyone, but have literally NO IDEA how to get this shit going. I love  you all. Help me. :(

Computing / Decided to splurge and get a new gaming PC.
« on: November 03, 2018, 10:46:18 PM »
My old one was like 4 years old. Time for an upgrade.
Let me know if this was a decent deal and if the parts are good or not!

Processor: 3.40 gigahertz AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Eight-Core
Board: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd X370 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7A32) 1.0
16GB Gskill TridentZ RGB series ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Coolermaster Dual fan liquid cooler
500GB SSD. (One of those little tiny ones on the motherboard or whatever. Never seen it before)
2.5TB Sata drives (1x2TB, 1x500GB)
All for $1300. Decent deal or no?
And how are the parts? Good quality/long lasting or what?

If anyone has an older, good working GFX card they no longer use, feel free to post it here, I'd be willing to buy it. I think my current card is starting to crap out on me. Randomly restarts my computer while in the middle of gaming (Mainly with Overwatch), and it also makes a loud "crunching" sound when running (The same sound old computers made when loading things). Not sure what the cause of it is, but if anyone has something that's better, compatible with my system, I'll gladly set up something with them. Thanks!

Random Chat / Car Audio!
« on: May 03, 2018, 12:28:53 PM »
I've been working on these monsters for quite a while now. A few months, and quite a bit of money later, I'm the proud owner of my dream system.
Currently running two 12" JL W7 subs powered by a single JL 1000/1 V2 amp (Getting the second one this Sunday!)
Subs rated at a pure 1000 watts RMS each, amp outputs 1000 watts total (Which is why I need the second amp for these monsters)

Normally, I kinda figured it'd be as easy as any other stereo system to install. Unfortunately, I was wrong. There's a shitload of time and money needed to be spent to get these things fully powered. You need specific wiring (zero gauge pure copper), multiple batteries (Running 2 at the moment, will need a third when I get my second amp) Multiple grounds to the frame and alternator (Zero gauge as well) Then had to get a higher voltage deck. The generic 2 volt just wouldn't cut it. So had to get a higher end double din touch screen high voltage deck as well.

After all said and done, you then need to soundproof/rattle proof the car. Dynamat to the rescue. But takes a hell of a long time to get it all installed properly (I'm still not complete with mine yet) Then...There's the problem with the speakers literally blowing my trunk lid open from the power. I need to find a fix for that. I drive down the road with my stereo on, and poof, trunk pops open. Happens constantly, drives me insane. I guess it's kind of a good problem to have, but at the same time, fuckin' annoying.
So, a few months, thousands of dollars later, my baby is almost complete. Even though it was a lot of work and headaches with all the extra BS, I still love my system and wouldn't trade it for anything.
I'll post some videos of it in action in a bit. In the meantime, here's some pics -

And one extra......Yes, I've cracked my windshield with the stereo already....Forgot to put my windows down. Oops.

Also, sorry, my car and equipment are a bit dirty, didn't bother to clean yet, lol.

Great song. Pounds awesome in my ridiculously overly loud car stereo.

Computing / Having some PC problems...Any help would be great.
« on: June 29, 2017, 03:57:42 AM »
Just got my internet up and running recently...Everything seemed to be fine for the most part. Except for today.
Turned off my PC last night with no problems, when I went to turn it on today, everything powered and booted up, but my monitor (Devant TV connected HDMI) wouldn't come on and I didn't hear the normal *Beep* when starting up my PC.
So I shut it down, checked the net for others having the same problem and did almost everything they told me to do.
Swapped the RAM slots, cleaned the RAM connectors, secured the P4 connector on the Motherboard, removed and reconnected graphics card, checked all connectors and cords, everything is in snug and proper. So I continuously shut down and turn on the PC trying all these fixes, then randomly, it comes back on, boots up and all is well. Then after a few minutes, pooof, PC locks up, can't do anything and am forced to restart. Lo and behold, after the restart, it starts doing the same thing again. So I found another "temporary fix" for it.
Taking out and putting back in the CMOS battery to force the "set date and time" in the bios. That seems to have worked to "fix" it each time so far, but evern after doing that, I started up a game of Overwatch (Everything seemed perfect) then a couple minutes into the game, the display went blank again. I pressed some keys on the keyboard and heard the PC make a few beeping noises, then afterwards, nothing but a blank screen.
So I again removed the CMOS battery and put it back in and now here I am writing this out. Can ANYone help me with a full 100% fix for this annoying problem? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.
P.s - Will post all PC specs in a moment, just want to save this just in case the PC fucks up again.

Anything that can be done to help fix this annoyance would be awesome. Thanks again anyone who is able to help.

EDIT 1: I think I may have narrowed something down......Seems when I have my PC laying on its side (Motherboard and everything facing up), no problem. Once I stand it up normally, display goes out and crashes again. Maybe a loose connection somewhere, but I have no idea where, considering I checked all the connections and made sure they were secure, but I could be mistaken.
