Ship 2 (Ships are servers in this game basically) is where all the English players go. Our economy is just a little pricier than the japanese servers.

Gaming / 7 Days to Die

Anyone try this yet? I've been addicted since I bought it about a month ago. Apparently being late to the party was a good thing with the current build being so far ahead of console.
First game in my adult life that I can remember that actually makes me jump out of my seat and scares the shit out of me.
Clearly a play on Minecraft but with Zombies. Any game that gives creative freedom I tend to love so I may be biased a bit. It's probably going to suffer the same fate of being in Alpha forever but it doesn't feel like an Alpha build at all.
It goes on sale for under $5 here and there. Would love someone to play with.

We are having a Skyrim/Medieval themed wedding. Amulets of Mara and all lol. Just printed the invitations yesterday. Now we just have to wax seal 100+ invitations....
And yeah Ian, my real name is actually Bernard. Just grew up with everyone calling me Ben for some reason because my dad's nickname was Benny I guess.

Computing / GTX 1070 Better than Titan?

I'm thinking about upgrading and the 1070 price/performance is looking pretty damn good. I read an article in terms of FPS the 1070 beat out Titan X in literally every test. Wtf? The price gap is insanely high for that to be the case.

Computing / Corsair 600T Custom Build

My GF has an old gaming laptop from like 2005-2006. Age of Mythology is about one of the only games we can consistently play together on, outside of flash games. We always had to keep a bag of ice under it if we wanted to play something for an extended period of time. Actually Borderlands ran fairly decently at minimum settings on it which was surprising. Still, we couldn't really play the games we wanted to together.
Decided I was going to build her a PC from some of my hand me down parts. Have a DnD group on FB I was able to get some parts cheap from a fellow geek. I got the MOBO, CPU & GPU for $150, which was a steal. Kind of progressively gathered parts over the last year and finished it up in time for Xmas. She had no idea I had been doing this, and was over the moon about it
We've been playing ESO a lot lately, which has actually been a lot of fun. It's so different now, in a good way.
