Fuck my Xbox to Hell.  About a month ago, I got one with the RRoD and a good seal for $30, fixed it without a problem, then found out that the DVD drive (Hitachi) wouldn't play games, although it would play CDs and normal DVDs.  Furthermore, it made a grinding noise while spinning the disc.  I assumed the drive was bad, so I bought a BenQ drive with the intent of flashing/spoofing it.  I bought a SATA card so I could hook the drive up to my computer and found that Jungleflasher would output an obviously false drivekey (74 repeating), whereas no other program would even detect the drive.  I DID NOT write anything to the drive, so it's not bricked or anything; it's in the same state as it was before.  I bought a new Hitachi drive, tried swapping the motherboards as to rule out the seemingly likely possibility of it being a mechanical problem, and shit still doesn't work.  Wat do?

I guess like, sell 360 on eBay for like a $100 and buy three more 360s, sell them for $100 each, and buy and buy a PS3.

On another note,

failing English

got a 100% on the final, brought my overall grade up to an 80%.  Fuck yeah.

2D will never die, EVAR.  It's still a rather popular and visually appealing style; game developers would be foolish to abandon it entirely.

Today I found out I have a 60.58% in English.  God Damn.

At least I have AP Calculus and AP Physics to balance out me being in remedial English next year.

re: cars: I'm the asshole that drives 20 miles under the speed limit.  I'm way too hesitant in acceleration and I really need to work on it.  In town, I go no more than 20 m/h (~32 km/h), and around 50 m/hr on the highway (~80 km/h).  Also, I never turn right on red because I'm scared shitless that someone'll come out of nowhere and collide with me.

Tried to fix my 360; still doesn't work after hours and hours of tweaking everything.  Fuck Fuck Fuck, good thing I have a PS3, which doesn't get RRoD every time I try to play anything from its vast library of 360 ports. 

Actually, when I first removed the thermal compound of the GPUs and CPU, I only cleaned the stuff off the chips and not the solder points, which I imagine was stupid.  I'ma try it once again; if it doesn't work I'm gonna give up.

My arctic silver came today, so now I can repair my 360 that RRoD'd.  They sent me this fuckin' huge bottle of arctic silver remover, but the tiniest little thing of actual arctic silver.  :-(

also, I have zero 360 games :-(

I really want to try and finish FF13.

I just got to Grand Pulse after playing 20-some hours, but then I got GTA 4 and played that for close to 40 hours.  I was going to go back to FF13, but The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony came out on PS3, which I just couldn't refuse to play.  I finished The Lost and Damned (didn't really bother with side missions; hated the races) and am playing Gay Tony with around 50% completion atm.  I have to convince myself to play FF13, because although I like to say I've had fun with it so far, it just seems SO BORING, looking back.  Hell, I often think of saying "fuck it" and playing Atelier Rorona instead.

question,

if I install a modchip or homebrew firmware on a 360 for the purpose of playing region-locked games, and only played legitimate copies, whether NTSC-U or NTSC-J, would I get banned from Live?  I'm not sure if they ban you for the act of modding you console or for playing illegitimate copies of games.  I assume they would ban me for having a modded console, so is there any way to get around this?

The PS3 version is even worse.  Lots of bugs, too.

I pretty much have to get console versions because my PC doesn't have the hardware requirements to run most games.  Shit sux.
