News / Re: New default theme installed!
« on: January 12, 2008, 02:43:27 AM »
This doesn't even need a new theme, just mod the old one.

Code: [Select]
.mainstrip {color:black !important;}

.mainstrip a:link {color:black !important;}.mainstrip a:visited {color:black !important;}
.mainstrip a:hover {color:black !important;}
.mainstrip a:active {color:black !important;}

.topbar {display:none !important}
.titlebg3 {display:none !important}
.memberbardiv {display:none !important}
#upshrink {display:none !important}
.topbar2 {display:none !important}
.menubar {margin-top: 10px !important; }
Get rid of all the "!important"s unless something isn't overriding previous settings.

Adblock list-

Delete all of those.

New post icons, as the old ones have gradient backgrounds.

Move the color bar from what was the member bar (the collapsible one) to wherever.

Find a place for a logo.

Result is something like-

A few more ideas: you might have to update all of the different color styles, so you might as well just make one scheme everyone can agree on. Depends on how partial people are to their colors, I guess.

Nope, full on 1680x1050.

so far i've got this (also, the link color isn't very distinct. maybe an underline would help set it apart?)

old as fuck topic but

i don't think there's an smf theme that doesn't look like ass

i mean god look at that fucking logo that looks like fucking wordart right there and the whole top bar is way too goddamn big. the whole thing is way too shiny and, well, there's gradients. fuck gradients. i hate gradients.

fuck it i'm making my own theme with mspaint and basic css knowledge

i mean jesus christ look at that fucking logo it's so fucking huge and gaudy and

THAT LOGO

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

i mean, i need new pads, and they're like $80 or some retarded shit. dunno why adding a peace of 1-inch thick foam bumps up the price $50 but whatever. is there still a ddr 'scene' or whatever? does it still basically suck?

and how are supernova/2? ddr universe (and 2? is there a 2?)? does stepmania still have a bunch of pad steppers making terrible charts for other bemani songs and shitty j-pop?

in rainbows is pretty good

the last few albums i've liked a lot i thought were mediocre at the start (the shins, enter the wu), and in rainbows was no exception- never heard radiohead before, and it didn't really live  up to the hype. it still doesn't, but i've learned to appreciate it for what it is- an excellent album.

i think i won this thread without even having a wallpaper

click for big, obviously

custom samurize, hmmxp theme (this is the best theme for xp, by the way. it's taking modern colors and aesthetic and applying it to a theme similar to windows classic)

if you're wondering how i launch my apps, i use the best program ever made: launchy (google it). it pops up with a quick alt+tab, and i can type in any entry on the start menu. it has automatic completion too so you don't have to type in "mozilla firefox" every time you launch firefox (just type "fir" or "f" or whatever)

i always forget game maker is a decent program until a great game comes out based on it. i was leaning towards, say, a python or xna or what have you-based engine, but i guess most people just make those themselves :(
