Quite true. Once I got the slipmat mod done, the controller was pretty sweet. I haven't had a chance to play an arcade, so I don't know how the ideal gameplay would feel, but still.

I've gotten to play on a Beatmania III (5-key) machine a couple of times (before the bastard arcade owner pulled it for virtually no reason).  There is no comparison -- everything about the arcade controllers feel better (aside from maybe the turntable being higher and farther away, but I guess you'd get used to that after you've played on it for a while).

That said, good luck finding a IIDX machine.  I've never even seen one in person.

So I was playing Halo 2

That's your first mistake. ;)

Halo 2's single player was by far the worst in the series.  Halo and Halo 3 are much better.

I got a chance to play an actual IIDX machine when I was in Japan three years ago. It was pretty hard, considering I barely knew what I was doing, but it was fun.

Also, today is the last day of thanksgiving break, and I am sad. I've spent almost all of the week with my lady "friend" and it's been amazing. Tonight I'm going over to her place to hang out and watch desperate housewives.

Woo, sPoop progress:

Health display now supports up to 5 digits; all light maps are inversed. XD  Sadly, the spastic water warping effect (where the lightmap gets detached from the texture map and causes numerous fullbright patches to appear) doesn't seem to happen on ATI chipsets (yay laptop... ;-;).  All the more reason why I can't wait to get back on my main rig.

I've been doing the opposite -- going to bed early and waking up...early.  A few days ago I went to sleep at 8PM and woke up at 4AM.

I kinda like doing that.

I do that whenever I have any homework to do. I find I have more motivation after I wake up than before I go to sleep.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

I do that sometimes too. Actually, 8-4 is usually pretty close to my normal hours, but it's anywhere from 6-10 or so when I go to sleep and anywhere from 2-6 when I wake up. (I don't always fall asleep quickly, so even if I go to bed at 6, I might not sleep till 10.)

I just realized that that explains why I'm more active at 5 AM than any other time. We've all been awake at 5 AM, lol. Either we're waking up, or getting ready to go to bed. (Seriously, I have more posts at 5 AM than any other hour of the day, lol.)

Man, today was great, even though I didn't really get much sleep and was pretty tired during school. After school I just relaxed, listened to Younger Brother/Shpongle while playing Galaxy, texted my friends and napped. Then I hung out with my "friend"- we played Galaxy together and then watched Drake and Josh. I realized that show is actually really funny. Then we watched another episode, and, you know, lost interest. I just got back from taking her home. I'm really exhausted :x

ps I start reading The Color of Water for AP English tomorrow, has anyone read it? Does it suck?
