It's 100 points per dollar.

Also, I still make web comics. I made a new one. But it's really only for people that know Beat'em Ups from the NES/SNES era. At least this one is anyway. I might just end up making web comics using references to the most obscure games I can find.

Back on the linux thing: Yes, I have a free partition, I set it up when I installed Vista. I have an Ubuntu cd lying around here somewhere, so I might try to install that, and just fiddle around with it. Also: how well does Wine work? I might be tempted to just use Linux for the most part, just to further flex my epeen, because I'm quite certain I'm the only person in my dorm that uses Opera.

Also: how well does Wine work?

Its compatibility list is a bit weird.  It's kind of a hit-or-miss thing.

From what I hear, it'll run Steam and HL/HL2 with a bit of work.  It runs WoW.  Neverwinter Nights, from some accounts, runs better via Wine than with its native Linux version (which is kinda sad).  IE6 and Office 2003 both work (I've used Word, Excel, and PowerPoint extensively under Wine, though some Office components don't run well, if at all).

Your best bet would be to check the application compatibility database on their site.  Also, bear in mind that some games, like the Quake series and the UT series, have native Linux ports available.  I've played Quake 1, Doom 3, and UT2004 extensively under Linux and they run just as well as they do under Windows.

Quake 1

WIN. Seriously, I love that game. It was one of the first games I really got into for a while, though I'm still not sure how to actually beat Shub-Niggurath.
This is going in my sig. :)

Link? Sounds interesting >_>

Also, like 4 people I know skipped school yesterday for halo 3. We were joking around that they were alternating between sessions of halo 3 and gay sex. Skipping school to get a game is kind of ridiculous.

Man, I totally nailed that trig test, got a 97- highest grade in the class. The only question I got wrong was about domain and range.

y = -2x^2 + 2, find the domain and range, and state whether or not this is a function.

Still don't know how to do it, anyone care to explain >_>

Domain and range basically are the max and minimum values for X and Y if you plot that on a graph, and it's a function if any number in x gets a result without having 2 numbers give the same result and without any number coming out undefined.
This is going in my sig. :)

Domain is X, Range is Y.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}
