Ian, have you played Strife? I downloaded zDoom and a couple of .wads for it, and Strife's one of the games that came with it. It's really good.

Hell.  Yes.  That game is epic.

How's ZDoom's compatibility with it now?  Last time I tried it ZDoom didn't do so hot.  I had to run it through...something else.  I think I used DosBox before.

It's actually working quite well. I downloaded a small pack of wads from Demonoid, it's got Doom 2, Final Doom: Plutonia Experiment, Final Doom: TNT - Evilution, The Ultimate Doom, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, Hexen: Beyond Heretic, Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel, and Strife: Quest for the Sigil.

I am definitely moving in a few months now...except I have absolutely NO IDEA how we're going to do this. Like, which parts of my room I want to move over first. We have pretty much all of October to move (closing is on September 30th) so it's going to be pieces here and there and it's like UHHHHHH I have way too much stuff and we still haven't figured out what we're doing with the rooms or where anything will go. Like, even in our old house, we've never had both a family room AND a living room. So like, do we actually put the nice big TV downstairs in the basement/family room and stuff (where it probably should be) and put one of the crappy small TV's in the living room? Or do we just not put anything in the family room for now and I eventually buy my own big TV to put down there and enjoy (which I like the sound of)? So many plans for the future and stuff to make just because I'm moving my garbage from one location to another.

That reminds me of George Carlin's rant about houses haha.
I wish that cake was a lie. :(

I guess he never figured out what Willis was saying :/

movingmovingmoving

I'm in a similar situation. I'm getting a place with 2 of my friends, so we've gotta figure out (once we get a place, anyway) how to move 3 packrat-esque nerds' worth of shit into one house.

District 9 was really really good.

Really? :o  I'm used to good-looking movie trailers leading to overhyped CGI-fests.  I'm glad District 9 is an exception.

Looks like I'm going to have to gather up some friends to go see it with me.

While it has CGI and stuff, it's clearly not the focus. It's actually a pretty sad movie but it has a good mix of everything.

I saw The Goods today, it was really good actually. It was funny almost the entirety of the movie.

Yeah, ZDoom does Strife fairly well, I think GZDoom's got it down as well. But I just prefer GZDoom anyways, most of the cool .wads these days use GZDoom anyways. Also, Scythe 2 finally got finished, it's really great, haha. For a Hell Revealed-esque mapset, it's really awesome. I'm not usually super into huge slaughterfest maps, but these ones are really well choreographed, haha.

i need to do a mass effect speed run to this on loop

also, opened today.  the person i was working with(HAPPENDS TO BE A FRIEND O MINE) has an ipod touch, so we had pandora on whilst working dicking around because it was a dead sunday morning

pandora, type in "a tribe called quest" and have good raps to work to.

biggie related because well, several biggie songs popped up, 2pac as well.

*edit*

so i got firefox 3.5.  anybody know how to change it when i click and drag a tab into the window just below, this would normally reload the tab.  a quick short drag and drop for an easy quick refresh...but in this version, that function drags the tab into it's own firefox window...VERY ANNOYING, can i change this?

Give this a shot, vlad: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/2082/week-in-geek-the-disable-firefox-3.5-tab-tearing-edition/

Oddly, there doesn't seem to be a way to disable it with a simple about:config modification.  The Mozilla team is usually good about making everything disablable via that screen.

I unofficially joined another class today.  xD  I wanted to take it all along, but it conflicted with my Social Psych course, so eh.  Now I'm in the choir again, and I now have seven classes to deal with.

Busy busy Jupi.  :3
