The manufacturing process affects the size of the transistors.  Larger transistors require more power to operate, therefore generate more heat.

Case in point: I read one site that said that if a Core 2 Quad were manufactured on the same process as a 386 processor they would consume about 3kW and generate monstrous amounts of heat.

So I went to the Urgent Care today to see what I could do about my supposed 2nd case of tonsillitis.  I had gotten it previously 1-2 months ago, took the Azithromycin which I have used before, and by day 4 it was a lot better, and soon gone.

This time, is very different.  Same sore throat feelings, started taking the Zpak, but this time, it didn't work, as it should have.

Today, I woke up with blood in my mouth. After spitting that all out, I called my mom and told her I was going to the Urgent Care to figure this the fuck out.

Long  story short and after blood work and culture tests, I seem to have contrated Strep throat AND Mononucleosis.

say anything? lol yea just gave me antibiotics and vidodin scripts. mono gets better over time with rest and pills, and the strep will go away 'by itself' kind of.

he told me he doesn't see the two together very often, but it's been known to happen.

Don't skimp on the antibiotics.

When I was 12 I had a family doctor misdiagnose strep throat as something totally benign.  Long story short, I discovered first-hand that rheumatic fever is a fucking cunt.

For one thing, if I didn't take aspirin every day I would find myself suffering from agonizing joint pain.  I had to take antibiotics twice a day for years (four times a day when I was first diagnosed).  I had to visit a doctor every couple of months and get blood work done, as well as see a cardiologist regularly to make sure that my heart wasn't getting damaged (don't worry, I'm okay).  I still have to take heavy antibiotics prior to getting any dental work because there is a good chance that I could have a relapse if I get strep throat again.

Long story short: don't forget to take your antibiotics.

damn spec lol. yea i never skip my meds when it comes to sicknesses. The pain always reminds me to finish the whole bottle even if i 'feel' better.

glad you at least came out of that relatively okay and alive, else we'd be lacking a wonderful admin :P
