Well, I'm not supposed to lift over 10 pounds for the next month but I should be pain-free in the next couple of days. I've seen people say they feel fine after 3 days, some go up to one week. I'd guess I'll be fine on Tuesday. Right now it can be sort of hard for me to sleep and get up because I'm not used to laying only on my back. I'm much more used to laying on my sides and ending up on my stomach. And pulling myself up and out of bed feels like a stretch since the area around my incisions is still pretty tender.

I'm probably going to try eating something a bit greasier today to see how that goes. Pizza or something I guess. My doctor said I didn't need any special diet so I should probably just eat whatever but keep it in smaller amounts.

Yeah it was pretty scary right up until they gave me the relaxant. Then I couldn't fight no matter what I did anyway.

For the record, having a can of Coke and 3 slices of thin crust ham pizza is like heaven after having gone without it for so long. No weird side effects either. No nausea, no vomiting, no diarrhea like so many people seem to end up with. So near as I can tell, once I take a few showers to clean the glue stuff off the incisions and my stomach stops being so bruised, I'll be back at 100% with no worries.
