Yeah, I've got L4D2, Omni, and it rapes the shit out of L4D, and I might have been the biggest L4D fanboy ever. However I'm at my parents house for the remainder of the Thanksgiving break and this computer can't really run anything modern, so I probably won't be able to play anything or hop onto steam until Sunday night when I get back to my apartment.

Speaking of witch I just got done play and yes L4D2 is fucking amazing ...the sad thing is even on fucking Normal difficulty NORMAL difficulty the last map is like playing on advanced ('cept you don't take as much damage.)  They made the Director way over zealous.

-dawn of war II -$40.00
-STALKER- $20.00
-titan quest and the expansion- $30.00 for both
-red faction guerrilla- $40.00

and a few other games i would try because they are in the pack(full spectrum warrior, red faction 2, the first dawn of war, saints row 2)

the pack costs like $50.00...the fuck...i almost bought DoW II alone for that a few months back.  

ill think about it and ill probably be $50.00 poorer tomorrow...

ok as usual, steam sales...

so i got the thq pack and then i got riddick dark athena.  

figure ill tackle dark athena first, delete it when im done (my hdd is fast...not big) and then maby start up some STALKER, or whatever other goodies in the pack i just got.

so like i haven't played very far in riddick, but dude, prison shiving people is badass.  like stabbing some dude several times in the chest then going for his eyes, yeah, i am enjoying this.

Also, Vlad, go play STALKER: SoC! It's fucking amazing. Try it vanilla first, if you don't like it after a while, google the mod Oblivion Lost, and give it another try. Probably my second favorite game ever. D:

I couldn't stand the game vanilla, but I thought it was pretty damn good with OL (despite being a bit easy on hard, it really is balanced for Hell difficulty).

riddick has a checkpoint save system

that coupled with it's high emphasis on stealth and you not being able to take a hit = FRUSTRATION.  so i deleted it and i am installing STALKER.  

if i read that it has a checkpoint save system before it finishes downloading, i will cancel it asap.

xr_3da.exe gives me some error or some shit, and i can't seem to find a solution on the steam forums.

Nah, you can F6 like a mofo all day (just remember to create two saves so you don't screw yourself over by getting stuck or using too many supplies). STALKER has a general use for stealth, but it's more or less knowing what cover is safe and watching out for grenades tossed (the radar is amazingly helpful here).

im fine with stealth, don't get me wrong.  but when stealth is involved, checkpoints best not be.  

i mean, im one of those "how the fuck can you even play fallout 3 without 100 sneak" types.

anywho, not playing stalker until...well somebody tells me how to fix this problem.

i mean the game literally won't show up as an application, and i have to open the task manager to shut down the xr_3da.exe if i even want to see the STALKER logo apon clicking the desktop icon.  

only nothing happens afterwards and i have to use good ole task manager to close it out again.  tried compatibility settings with both icon and steam, run as admin, anything i can think of.

Sounds like the engine won't even start without crashing.

Also my Borderlands won't start without crashing/going unresponsive right before it's supposed to hit the main menu screen.
