Actually, I'd bet that the upper tier games costing too much would kill off most of the upper developers long before your average trash game outdoes them in sales and kills them off.

The only reason the original gaming crash happened was because there was no real dedicated fanbase for gaming and no one had any way of differentiating the copy cats and trash from the actual good games. Things have progressed to the point where that's really not possible anymore.

But yeah, I've known about that Malstrom article for a long time and it's pretty much 100% true.

lol, I sorta figured you likely did. I remember you saying stuff to the effect of "casual gaming does NOT really exist" or something a while ago.

I knew the ships were something like that, but it still amazes me to see them shown like that. Too bad he couldn't place a warp gate (or part of it) to illustrate the size of non player stuff.

Also, page steal.

lolwut

Weird as hell.  I don't know if the problem is specific to the Droid or not, but I haven't had a problem like that with my G1 (which was running the stock HTC/T-Mobile build of Android 1.5 at the time the article was published).

Regardless of what the issue was it's definitely fixed now.  Both my cousin and his wife have Droids and it hasn't affected them at all.

im thinking of doing something crazy

dropping 300 bones on a tripple

obviously i would get mgs4 (yay for budget games) and nobi nobi boy, possibly even uncharted 2 later.  but uhh what else?  im interested in wipeout for some reason, i haven't played much, but the tripple version of wipeout just looks like rez: the racing game, which is awesome.

i WILL get a tripple eventually, but i mean it could be tomorrow it could be next year.  mass effect 2 comes out soon, but, shit son i want a tripple for some reason, i really don't know why.  the only thing preventing me from getting one is "hey, i could play many of those good tripple games...on my treesigsty"

something ive been thinking about anyway.  demons souls and ff13 are also possibilities.  and like multiplayer games which are multiplatform, 360 wins by default since nobody i regularly hang out with owns a ps3.

figured id throw that out there so y'all can throw words back at me, maby tell me to save my money for crack and porn instead.

I really like my PS3 but yeah, it's more for single player games since everyone I know owns a 360.

Wipeout HD Fury (you can get Wipeout HD with its expansion which adds quite a bit at a package price) is really good.

The exclusive games are really hit-or-miss though.

Yeah, it really really does. I'm actually trading in Killzone 2 because while the multiplayer has some nice ideas, I can't stand playing it, although that game has some really wonky aiming to begin with.

One console having superior controls for shooting compare dto another.

That always makes me laugh. Not saying it doesn't (360 controller is basically designed for FPS games) but as someone who enjoys shooter on a PC it's still funny as hell to see.

Also I hear KZ2 has a few balance issues along with a fairly goofy auto aim system.

I'm currently bidding on an Atari 2600 with 25 games, two joystick controllers, and two paddle controllers with 25 minutes left to go.

Wish me luck!
