It's about damn time other people started trying it. I've been using it pretty much since it came out. Firefox feels slow in comparison, and I thought FF blew IE out of the water in speed :/

I prefer something quick and responsive, even if I can't use extensions.

EDIT: It's funny you'd bring that up; Chrome just got support for extensions.

Well, the competition already forced them to make a better javascript engine, since chrome came with a fucking fast one right away.

Which ones did you pick up? I'm just starting to try out some add-ons (I know right) so if you can suggest ones that at least sort of speed up the thing. I noticed FastestFox in there... anything else worth picking up?

I actually don't use any speed-increasing add-ons (Firefox loads fast enough for me) but I personally recommend:

  • AdBlock (laugh when all your friends complain about ads!)
  • Download Statusbar (get rid of that annoying downloader pop-up!)
  • THE BUILT-IN SPELLCHECKER (everyone needs this)
  • if you use Gmail, Gmail Notifier
  • and ForecastFox is nice (it's currently 18F here Q_Q)

Fastestfox is pretty nice. I also wanted to get Glasser but my theme on Vista is custom so when I install Glasser its all black and hard to see. You need Aero Glass or something as your active/current theme on Vista for it to work right or something

I hope these aren't the ones you say chrome doesn't have.

I have chrome's AdBlock in mine.
Chrome has it's own download bar by default.
It has it's own spellchecker built in as well.
