I'd like to do a panel for Anime Detour some day and call it, "Quasar and the Stepmania Boom" and then just sit on stage and tell stories about A0 and the many conversations with Arch0wl and how I made Quasar in about 10 minutes by hitting random keys.

It's pretty much how I made every file for IIDX songs. There are a few where I actually put work into them but it was usually a few minutes of looking at the Another chart and then pressing random buttons as I scrolled down. Then play once through to make sure there's flow and then add some doubles where the scratches are and you pretty much have 80% or so of the files I made.

My best files are clearly ones I made myself, like fffff or My DJ or Parade of the Wooden Soldiers. At least I think so anyway.

Personally, I thought I did pad charts better than I did keyboard charts. I used to carry a USB drive with all of my pad charts with me wherever I went just in case I ran into an r21 machine. I don't know where that drive went though and I've long since deleted all of my stuff after having to reformat. I don't even have Stepmania installed, or even know if it works with Windows 7 anyway. I'd kill to be able to play North and Old O and my other pad files in an arcade again.

parasite eve 2, resurface my copy of brave fencer musashi,

GREAT fucking games. Personal favorites outside of Parasite Eve 2s final boss...

Also I've heard good things about all of those really.

Grey Knights != Space Marines.

True facts.

Well, I never played any of your stuff on pad eggman, but I did enjoy your stepfiles. Somehow you managed to get a good flow with most of them despite the apparent randomness, lol. Just goes to show that making stepfiles doesn't have to have huge amounts of thought put into it to get ones that are fun. Of course, there are plenty of ones out there that prove that SOME thought is required...
This is going in my sig. :)

Anyone have a recommendable controllers for PC? I'm using this Logitec one and it's not registering half my inputs I do (half circles in Vampire Savior 2 hardly go, dashing in Guilty Gear only works half the time and trying to do Slayer's half circle back and then forward is impossible).

I hear a PS3 one is easy to get working and that it has a nice Dpad.

Yeah, use the PS3 controller.  I use it and it's pretty great.

http://www.motioninjoy.com/download - you'll need to download this driver if you haven't already

i was out playing n64 with bros today, so i picked up a monster import.

first off, the can is fucking awesome.

second off, this tastes like monsters used to taste like.

basically it costs more than a standard monster, but you get a little more, it tastes better, and the can is awesome.

it's like they make monster, it's awesome, they alter the formula a bit, tastes good but you don't notice the change, release new more expensive monster using old formula, monster classic.

though, some people may not notice the taste difference, it's a bit subtle, but pretty obvious for me anyway.

How is it for fighting games?

Also LOOK AT EGGMAN'S POST COUNT.

I'm not that into fighting games to shell out 100 or so bucks for a controller that's only really good for fighters and arcade-ish games.

That's why you buy a fightpad for $40 and you get an awesome controller based on the Saturn controller that's great for emulators, fighting games, and lots of arcade games.
