I think I've only met Monkey Man and possibly Hayden? in person. Maybe some others but I didn't know at the time. I think it would be pretty awesome to get as many people together as possible.

I remember people used to fly across the country for the Arch0wl.com meet-ups. I never attended one though.

We should all meet in the center of the Atlantic ocean in my secret laboratory under the sea floor.

Yeah, slight problem for me. Going to toronto is a big deal for me, so going any farther than that is damn well out of the question for the time being. I still don't have my own car on the road (and I don't think I'd trust it for a trip to toronto). I'd love to go to a s.net meetup, but I've got no way to get there really.
This is going in my sig. :)

lol, I think spectere.net is a rather unique little niche of the internet. I've never heard of another forum like this lasting the way s.net has. Then again, I've never felt involved in other forums, the way I feel involved with s.net. I consider you guys actual friends, regardless of the fact that I've never met any of you guys in person.

Ditto.

Well we can say that we are one weird "family" if you want to put it that way.

We should podcast xD haha. we ramble on about facets of life that I've heard podcasters such as Kevin Smith or Adam Carolla rant on and on, seems to be a pretty healthy outlet, and we do have some good minds floating around here.

I just don't know how we could get that even done/started haha. I've thought about podcasting before, but it does require some nice setup $ if you're even remotely serious.

Yeah that is the only thing that sucking considering one would need a site to upload the podcast to so others can listen to it not to mention using a good "chatroom" type thing to do the pod casts...though vent is really good when it comes to voice chat.

Ohh, that sounds like a fun idea.

Also, on the idea of a meetup, where the hell do we all live? We should set up one of those map pages where we can pin ourselves, and then figure out a good meet up point from there if we're at all serious about this. I would totally love to do that, but I am pretty sure I might be the only person left posting from this site in the PNW :s

Well what would one be without the other :O

If I'm going somewhere I'd rather know how long it will take than how many miles it is, personally.

Which is exactly why we do that. We don't really care how far something is in actual kilometers nearly as much as how long it'll take us to get there. Mind you, for longer distances, we generally use the actual distance, because if you drive a significant distance, depending on how fast you drive, and how often you stop, and what route you take, it can take much less or much more time than you'd think.
