Oh, and quickly, Steam crashed and when I click the icon it does nothing, how exactly can I get steam back up without restarting (my internet just seemed to unfuck itself, and I want my Witcher).

It is fun, except that the AI is a fucking cheating bastard.

Not all that unexpected in an arcade racer, but I can't tell you how many times I've had a decent lead on first and due to a mixture of blatant rubberbanding and weapons of mass convenience, I wound up getting demolished five seconds from the finish line.  Argh.

If you're referring to getting Steam back up without restarting Steam, I doubt you'll be able to do that.

You might as well just end the process and restart it.  If you were downloading anything it should continue where it left off.

The Steam system service might be hung up, then.  AIM going unresponsive is practically standard behavior, so that's most likely a separate thing.

You might as well just reboot.  That's the easiest way to unstick a service.

If you want to be adventurous and try just restarting the service, right-click on My Computer, click Manage, and look for the "services" tab.  Restart "Steam Client Service" and see if that helps.

a couple of things before I fall asleep

For those of you who actually are interested in doing something nice for others, events like this are happening in your local communities every week. Check out the classified ads or announcements section of the area newspaper. You will see all sorts of anniversaries and birthday parties that are open to the public.

Toss some names you find into the google. Maybe you'll learn something about their history that resonates with you. Get a card, go to the party, eat free food.

Who knows...perhaps the dude who is turning 90 has a hot granddaughter around your age.

One who may be extremely impressed by a stranger who took the time out of his life to celebrate the life of someone he does not know.

And if that doesn't work, hey, there's cake.
