So I just got the worst haircut ever.

Here's how it works: I go in, sit down, and tell the lady cutting my hair exactly this: "Cut it to the brow line and then even it out all the way around," which, somehow, sounded to her like, "Give me a mullet. I'm preparing for my temporal excursion back to the 1980's." When she finished, I told her again that I wanted it evened out all the way around. She tried for about 45 minutes (There was no clock, I'm just judging by the 14 songs played on the radio while this was going on), slowly trimming away at my hair. After I got fed up, I said "Ok, stop." Unfortunately, I lacked the complaining skills to not get charged for a lady butchering my hair.

I went to the phone store after that so I could get a new phone. I met my mom there, and after getting my phone, she demanded I go somewhere to fix my haircut. I agreed. We went to a barbershop that was heavily surrounded by road work, which made it a bitch to get into. While I was walking in, a bird crapped on my head. The barber there was pretty cool, though. He fixed my hair to look as decent as he could after what had happened, we joked about a few things, and he didn't charge anything because he said it "wasn't a real haircut."

So I need to have a bird's nest on my head for the next few weeks while my hair gets back to normal. Fun.

Ouch. That blows. Right now I go to this one place called Vincent's Hair Salon and Spa (Vince IS italian). We started going there because my grandparents went to him, and were friends with him, so my parents go to him, and we'd go there when we needed a hair cut too. He's one of those guys who REALLY knows what he's doing. I mean, how many places will trim your beard with a straight razor (you know, a single razor blade with a handle)... He knows how to do shit like texturing your hair, and all sorts of crap most hair dressers never learn. Which means he actually knows how to cut hair like mine (really damn thick) and not make it look like shit.

It's a bit on the expensive side, but all things considered, I like getting a hair cut from him better than anyone else, because he actually knows how to cut it properly.

My girlfriend and I scheduled appointments at the mall to get our haircut before prom. The guy who's going to cut our hair is extraordinarily gay (I mean he is ON FIRE) but he does a damn good job of it.

Well, to be fair, it's "only" at 59 hours so far, including all of the scheduled work for the rest of the week:



However, that doesn't include the paperwork I'm going to have to do tomorrow, etc, so it'll probably be right at 60 hours.

On the bright side, if they don't approve that excessive amount of overtime I'm not going to have to work for 11 hours working on Saturday (2.5 hour drive time each way, plus a 6+ hour install).  If they do, well, my next paycheck is going to be nice.

I'm working a whole bunch this weekend too. Scheduled to only work Saturday evening but I picked up some extra shifts and now I'm also working from 1:15 to 9 Sunday. I've hardly worked for the past couple weeks so it's some much-needed and desired money.

So there's some virus on my computer. I think it's just a registry hack, but whatever he case, explorer.exe will not stay open for more than 12 seconds. As a solution, I made a copy of explorer.exe using the command prompt and executed that. It would be fine, but all it opens is an explorer window, meaning no desktop or start menu, meaning nothing can be minimized.

I guess it's fine, seeing how I'm not using Windows so much anymore except for stuff that I can't run well in Wine, but it still pisses me off.

Kill all of these with fire -- they're either bad (explorer2.exe, most likely) or highly dubious (Quick!, etc).

Also, I noticed that you seem to have both ATI and nVidia drivers on your system.  It's not a huge deal, but I'd highly recommend heading into the control panel and uninstalling what you don't need.  If you have an ATI card, nView is just wasting resources in the background.  Likewise, if you have an nVidia card, Catalyst is just taking up space.
