The "I'm getting the Orange Box. Want a free copy of HL2 and Episode 1" thread

Here's the deal.  I'm going to be buying the Orange Box since for some idiotic reason, TF2 and Portal don't come with HL2: Episode 2.  To make matters dumber, buying them separate costs more than the Orange Box itself.

Fortunately, Valve is at least kind enough to let you give away your spare copies of HL2 and HL2:E1 (rather than, you know, giving you a discount for supporting them by buying their games at launch...thank you oh so much, Valve).

So anyway, if anyone needs a copy of those, let me know.  I can gift the two of them separately (so if someone has HL2 and wants Episode 1, I can do that) so be specific as to what you want.  I only have one copy of each item so this is going to be a first come, first serve thing.  Too late, Kuroneko won. :>

I won't be able to do it right away.  I'll only have the extra copies to give away when the Orange Box comes out.  To receive the gift you must have a Steam account.  I will need the e-mail address that you signed up with in order to make the "transaction."  The Orange Box comes out on October 10, 2007, unless they push it back again.

Nothing, I don't think. I'm going to have the same issue, except I'll just have HL2 to give away, I never got Episode 1. So that's another copy of HL2 that can go out to someone.

I thought the orange box was only HL2 episode 2, portal and TF2. I would ask for episode one but I really want TF2 and I'll probably get the orange box. After all it's only 50 bucks.

Nah, that was what the Black Box was supposed to be.  The Orange Box includes HL2 and HL2:E1 as well.

Awesome. I'd been meaning to get it, but I didn't really want to go out and buy it considering how little money I generally have. It was kinda low on the priorities.

Yeah, so I'll have a copy of HL2 to give away as well. That's all you need for mods anyways, and that's the best part about the game.
