wow, what kind of car are you aiming for? Also my sister might buy a new car and give me her old one (a 1998 jeep Cherokee) which would make me spoiled as shit.

wow, what kind of car are you aiming for?

A Ford Mustang GT.  Kinda shooting for the stars, but whatever.  Nothing beats the sound of a V8.

The motor in those things pushes ~412hp now.  That could prove to be highly enjoyable.  Apparently there is a place with open track days pretty close to me, too.  I might take the Saturn there for a final send-off when I get my next ride. <3

I'm weird about letting people drive my Saturn.

The only people who I ever let behind the wheel of my car are my parents, barring extreme circumstances.  That list would end up getting cut in half when I get the Mustang, but only because my mom can't drive stick. :p  I've always been weird about that.

Yeah, I don't like letting people drive the vehicle I'm usually driving... It is my mom's car (but I've put most of the mileage on it), but that doesn't even matter... I still feel really protective about it.
This is going in my sig. :)

I've had my car for so long that I'm very much attached to it, which definitely doesn't help.  I've driven it since 2003.  I had a few months break in 2008 when I started a certain shitty job, then a small 6-month break from it in 2009 (up until a certain uninsured minority forgot that people turning left don't have the right of way at green lights) but outside of that I've always driven that little gold car.  It was 7 years old when I got it, 16 now.  It had 54,000 miles on the odometer.  Now it's up to 124,000.  I've put the majority of the miles on the engine and have owned it for most of its life.

It's really going to feel weird parting with it, just like it did those other times.  Even in the case that I was getting a genuine upgrade (like the ill-fated purchase of 2009) I felt weird not driving that car.

I still think it's a fun car to drive, despite its flaws (like the psychotic automatic transmissions that Saturn used.  It's okay when it's been driving for a mile or two, but when you first start it, especially in cold weather...ugh).

Lol, well I haven't been driving that long, but I definitely understand the attachment.

Like I said, I've put the majority of the mileage on my mom's car as well, and drive it more than she does. It's a 2007 model pontiac G5 (which makes me forget they dont even make those any more... The cobalt is actually quite a bit different despite looking the same).

It'll feel weird when I finally get my car fixed (it's been sitting outside not moving for 4 years now because there's stuff that needs to be fixed :/, and I've never had the money to get the stuff finished.)
This is going in my sig. :)

I think I can come to the conclusion that people who memorize their IQs are probably assholes.
