router stuff

i guess while i am here i will bring up this issue.

i got a new router a few weeks ago, and i need to do some port forwarding.  i can do that, but the issue is getting into the router.

see, the problem is the 192.168.35245345756859765456365445.65475685 doesn't work.  since it doesn't work i don't really know what to do. 

suggestions?

You putting in the right address? Go to start, if windows vista/7 type in the search bar, "cmd" and press enter. If XP, click run and type cmd and press enter. Brings up the command prompt. In the command prompt, type ipconfig and press enter. Look for the "Default gateway" and type that IP address in your address bar in your browser.

that's just what i needed.  the last router i had was like .1.1, this one is totally different with like digits higher than 0 or 1.

I feel so bad for you :<

Doing tech support type stuff for people makes me sad at how utterly incompetent 98% of people are with technology of any kind. It's a miracle all this shit actually works.
