Teh winamp help thread.
« on: October 19, 2007, 02:55:52 AM »
Ok, so I downloaded some albums from a torrent, but they are in TTA+CUE files. PROBLEM: Winamp crashes half the time, or the last item from the CUE list has no length and crashes winamp when you try to play it. Any ideas? Or, if you know a player that will actually deal with TTA and CUE files together, that would work.
This is going in my sig. :)

Winamp doesn't do TTAs or CUEs.

Are you having problems with a plugin for them or do you just not have one?

Plugins. Right now I've got it playing a TTA file without using a CUE to split it, but I also have the CUEPlayer pluin installed, and I can't get them to work together right. Kinda makes it a pain to use the TTA files...

I had mucho crasho problems with the CUEPlayer plugin as well, actually (when using CUE+MP3, I believe).

I dunno...try a different CUE plugin, maybe?  I never bothered with it again after that first attempt, to be honest.

It's about the only cure plug-in searching winamp.com finds, and I'm too lazy to google for others. I can't get a hold of 0.57, because the site is apparently down, and I have the one off winamp's site, which is 0.5b. I'm going to see if I can get it working right in foobar2000.

sup guys I need help looking for the Supereq plugin for winamp because apparently winamp's is buggy. Also, any really sweet equalizer settings would be great, too. thx

After trying foobar2000, I got it to read about 20 seconds into the last portion of the CD, and it stopped getting any sound.

How is winamp's EQ buggy? I've never had any issues with it except if you turn the low bass up too high and it distorts it.

EDIT: looks like the file cuts off after 20 seconds into the last part...

The biggest problem with Winamp's EQ is its tendency to snap to the zero position.  You can't set it just a tiny bit up, as far as I can see.

Yeah, I like my EQs completely controllable, but I've never had any real issues with winamps.

Any idea why cue files are being retarded in winamp? I can't get this stuff working right. Why the hell would they make a pack of tta/ape files with cues if there wasn't a easy tway to view them in some program.

UPDATE
Ok, So I managed up update the cue plugin, and tried things again. It works so far. I haven't tested it extensively, but so far so good.
