I actually had a little cry this past weekend when I realized that Doom is pretty damn close to 25 years old. I very clearly remember playing that shit when it was new.

Those were the days for sure. I'll be 32 this year it is pretty surreal when you come to those realizations. I was just thinking I've had my Yahoo account almost 20 years (1998) back when I was playing the shit out of Starcraft.

My 20s (particular around the 23-28 range) were pretty rough. Not sure how much of it was self-inflicted and how much of it was due to external influences, but there was definitely a bit of both in there.

I'm a bit more relaxed nowadays and actually have at least a modicum of self-esteem. Not sure if it's age, maturity, new friends, or what, but things feel a lot less fucked up nowadays.
