S.net used to be my homepage, I'm too lazy to re-set my homepage, or it would still be my homepage.
This is going in my sig. :)

4 days, 15 hours and 20 minutes.

How the hell did that happen?

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

Ctrl+1 = Whatever is in the first slot, Ctrl+2 = The second, etc. It's very convenient.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

Even though we only have between 6 and 10 people active at any time, the site still manages to stay relatively active.

Indeed.  We are kind of a tightly-knit group, strange as that might sound.  I mean, we've all been together here for quite a while.  *sniff* I LUV U GUYZ.

This site has always had its ups and downs and, honestly, its most popular times were probably its worst.  What I felt hurt a lot for a while were, I assume, people thinking that this was some sort of bizarro, lawless a0.com.  I distinctly remember (and still despise) all of the token spamming that went on when I had the shop in place with v1 (the phpBB era was oh so long ago).

Probably the thing that makes me happiest about this site is how it sort of brings us all together.  We have our a0.com refugees, my DMZX peeps, et cetera.  It's awesome. :D

Yeah. I've always found that this place is one of the only places the really understands me online. I mean, everyone here is smart, we don't have any of those internet retards that seem to permeate the rest of the internet. We're all people who met you and were interested in your site. I remember back on A0, I was lurking, and noticed that you and sharde both were some of the most intelligent people posting there. I think I stumbled onto s.net after looking at your profile and seeing the link. After that, I think I signed up, lurked for a couple days, and then began to post. Though I can't be sure, since that feels so long ago, and I can barely remember it. I remember more of the feelings I had about the site. I felt that it was in some ways much better than A0. It didn't have some of the real normal large forum type stuff. It was a place where friends came and posted about random stuff. It didn't require you to conform to some sort of standard that a0 seemed to have. I remember thinking that A0 had a sort of feeling of constant drama. That something was always happening, and that it was never a peaceful place. There were so many undercurrents and politics and stuff. I remember reading about the hayden controversy and stuff. And I remember just feeling like this was the better site. I was sad to see A0 finally go, but I kinda felt that it was necessary. The real A0 died long before the website did. Sure, by the end it was an even better place to find simfiles, and find the more prominent authors, and await new releases; but overall, the site was dieing. It was an interesting place, but there were too many people who hated each other. Too much bullshit and drama.

If I don't stop myself now, I'll keep going for another 10 minutes, so I'm just going to leave this as it is.

Heh, yeah, hard to believe how old this site is.  I think it's exceeded a0.com's time by now (s.net turned three on September 8...I don't think a0.com lived that long, though I could be wrong).  I started to loathe a0.com because of all the teen angst at the end of its lifetime, but when I walked past a student getting around the school filters by using the arch0wl.com redirect to get to the FFR forums I felt strangely sad.  What was once a 22+ thousand member site was reduced to being an overglorified filter bypass.

That really is sad. I was bothered when FFR took a0.com as a redirect. It felt wrong on so many levels.

I remember signing up here after clicking on the link in flypie's sig at a0. It was after this place switched to SMF but before a0 did, IIRC. Also, it was just before the BMS server went down for a month or so.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

I wouldn't consider myself an "a0.com refugee."

Arch0wl's a fag. I deserve a higher title than "a0.com refugee." ;)
Nice to see another memorable name though.

Sure, he was, but his forum got out of his control after he "quit the internet". a0.com is hardly representative of Arch0wl himself, so I'm not ashamed of having posted there over 1500 times.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}

Haha, I still really want to see the a0.com archives. Whatever happened to the notion of uploading those or whatever?

PS. Love you all too!  :-*

Yeah, the archives might be interesting. I don't consider myself an a0 refugee either, simply because I was here before a0 asploded. I simply post here more regularly since by the end, a0 was a shithole.
