Man, Rush is easily one of the best rock bands ever. And I'm not remotely joking. They have pioneered a unique sound, they are all amazing at what they do, they have always managed to get what they want from the record companies, rather than let the companies dictate their music. And they are still making music. They really should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Yeah, Rush kicks a huuuuuuuuge amount of ass. Granted, they, like most bands that old, went through a long period where they sucked an incredible amount of ass (durr hurr nobody was good in the late 80's early 90's anyways), their newer stuff is pretty cool too.

@sq3r - Yeah, that album is pretty badass, but I still think I like Strawberry Jam more, if you don't have that, you should definitely snag it.

Also, Girl Talk is going to be on campus next saturday, I am so thinking about doing a huge pile of drugs and going. I just can't decide how huge of a pile to take, since the tickets are 20 bucks >:| and the tickets are sold out so I'm not going to go! qq

Also I've been addicted to Iron Maiden lately. They are really underrated as a band generally. Kick ass solos, awesome singer, and a surprisingly good base guitarist.

Yeah, Rush hasn't stopped putting out music like, ever as far as I know, but I like Vapor Trails and Snakes and Arrows a good bit, and those are their two most recent.

Iron Maiden kicks quite a staggering amount of ass, and I would definitely not say they're underrated - Literally anyone ever who listens to metal will tell you Maiden kicks major ass, they're one of the most well-known metal bands around. They're just obscure to people who aren't into metal. If you don't have Powerslave, you should go get it, like, right now. D:

Maiden is one of my favourites, easily, when it comes to metal. Far far better than most metallica IMO.

im not a fan of this style of music, but i heard it on a wow pvp video....years and years back and i remembered it, so yeah, it's pretty alright.

i require more music along the lines like rjd2, instrumental hip-hop and that jazz.   i know about dj shadow, i have his entrouducing album.  other than that though, i need more, this stuff just makes you feel good when you listen to it.

Angela Aki - Answer - Good japanese pop. She plays piano, writes her own music, is an amazing singer, and I believe she produced and recorded this album more or less by herself...

Hiromi Uehara - Spiral - A great album by Hiromi, I've mentioned her before, but if you missed it, she's a crazy good jazz pianist, who was discovered by Chick Corea. My favourite album by her.

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois - If you don't know this album, download it. Now.

Lily Allen - Alright Still - Such a fun, quirky pop album. This is what good pop music sounds like.

Loituma - Things of Beauty - Such an amazing album. Beautiful Finnish folk songs. They also do Ieven's Polka, AKA leekspin.swf

VA - Wicker Park OST - An awesome collection of indie music. Has Death Cab, Snow Patrol, +/-, m

Lol, well, I do have 30+ gb of music, and always slowly collect more. Sometimes I go weeks or months without downloading more, but I always download whole albums, unless it's not possible (very VERY rarely), and when I do download music, I usually don't just download 1 album.  I usually end up downloading a bunch of related stuff at once.
