Using the guidething that xxxxx linked me to back on page 9, I just found out that apparently a style i like a lot is eurobeat and jpop (besides language, they're quite similar D:)

Heh, I take it the singer was Megumi Hayashibara? lol. As far as jpop goes, she's one of my favourite singers. (not that I listen to jpop any more, but either way). You might like Happy Hardcore. Stuff by Dune, Visa, and Bang! is practically eurobeat + better music.

Ishkur's Guide To Electronic Music is considered a bible to people who listen to Electronic Music, lol.

Some of my favourite styles of music I consider fun, but absolutely terrible are: Italo-disco, Ghetto Tech/Anything under Booty Bass,

My favourite music that I consider actual good music: Trancecore, Every Gabber style in there, Electro/Electro Funk, Big Beat, Acid/Funky/Chemical breaks, Hip Hop/Turntablism/East And West Coast/Progressive and Abstract Hip Hop. Ragga and pretty much the entire jungle page minus Jump Up (Especially Oldschool. That stuff kicks SERIOUS ass). Well, hell, everything in the Hardcore page minus Gabber House and Happy Gabber and New Beat. Downtempo (everything on that page), Techno (minus latin), I only like a few Trance Genres though: Acid, the Psy group, Symphonic Trance (absolutely LOVE Brainbug), Hard Dance minus NRG, and as for House: Everything minus Anthem, Booty, Stupid, Speed Garage, Epic, Brit and Dark.

I've covered the entire Guide now. And I listen to and like a rather large majority of it, lol. Yay for weird music tastes.

Yeah, Megumi Hayashibara.  She kicks ass.  Also, I'll try out Happy Hardcore I guess.  Haven't tried much eurobeat yet but it's pretty much like jpop with english words from what i could tell

As far as I see it, shitcore is a subgenre of speedcore.

Sharpnel is speedcore? Come on. First off, if you're going to call Sharpnel anything, it's Hardrave (since that's what Sharpnel and all the others refer to their style as) and it's more closely related to Gabber and Happy Hardcore than Speedcore (by quite a bit, really). Actually, Sharpnel's sound is pretty much a combination of Gabber and the oldschool Rave music that came before the current wave of Happy Hardcore (listen to Acen to get a good idea of what I'm talking about). They've got the sped up breakbeats + high pitched vocals that characterize HHC and oldschool Rave, they've got the speed and distorted drums and such that are borrowed from Gabber. Honestly, Hardrave is a pretty good definition of Sharpnel's sound.

Plus, I've got nothing better to do, so why not ague about genres when I've got a solid explanation for my definition?
