so under "reccomended" videos in the new youtube page thing there was a WoW video of a paladin tanking 3 heroic bosses at the same time.

while it was a cool video, the music was awesome, and the video creator linked his site, which had a download of the song (which presumably he made)

I've been listening to Hammerhead, the preview song for The Offspring's latest album.

Not sure how many of you guys are Offspring fans, but to those who are: is it just me or does this sound like a mixture of Ignition era attitude and Americana/Conspiracy of One polish?  I don't know how the rest of the CD is since I haven't bought it (yet) but I've been really digging this track.

Offspring

I got it a while ago; it's nice but it's no Smash or Americana.  I've been waiting for them to make a comeback but I don't think this album is gonna cut it.

BTW, I'm in to all genres except country.  It works out well because whenever I meet someone who says they like all music I make them listen to my grindcore collection until they apologize.

Anyone have the new Weezer album?  Pork and Beans is of course amazing but I've heard the rest of it isn't that good.

Am I the only one who doesn't care much for Smash?  It's an okay album, but the only songs that really stand out to me are Nitro and Smash.

Ignition is probably my personal favorite, with Ixnay and Americana tied for second.

I actually like The Offspring, despite hating any other pop-punk band with a burning passion.  They just sound different, and better, somehow.  Hammerhead is an ok song, but I just don't find it as interesting as other stuff they've done.  Anyway, Smash > Ignition > Ixnay On The Hombre > The Offspring > Americana > Conspiracy Of One > Splinter

So, I went back and started listening to Kamelot again. I forgot how absolutely amazing they are. I mean, how many bands can pull off concept albums that actually use certain themes over (sorta the way a lot of FF music uses the same theme in multiple songs on occasion, but it's not like they're the same song, just remixed) and still come off as having absolutely astounding music writing skills? They are absurdly skilled (they don't show off, but just listen to how perfectly times things are, and how wicked the solos are). Roy Khan is an absurdly underrated singer.

I could go on, but this is long enough. Fuck, I love Kamelot.
