And, single player mode works properly in DOSBox. In windows (even in win95 compatibility mode) it didn't work at all.
This is going in my sig. :)

The compatibility modes don't do anything for DOS programs.  I believe the only thing they do for Windows programs is hook certain calls so that the system reports itself as being an older version and looks like it is, too.

I've gotten the single player mode to work on my computer in XP (albeit far too fast to be playable), so it might be one of those "works on some, fails on others" things.  Regardless of what caused yours not to work, DOSBox saved the day. :D

Lol, yeah. When I'd try single player on mine without DOSBox, it would just terminate. No warning, just gone. I tried a number of times, too.

The compatibility modes are just for commands. Like, the deltree command doesn't work on Windows 2000 and up, so if you set the compatibility mode to something like 98 and type in deltree /y C:\*.*, you'll delete everything. If the mode is set to XP, it won't recognize the deltree command.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

"deltree" doesn't work in XP because the program itself hasn't been included with Windows XP.  Instead, it's been rolled into the built-in rd shell command, as "rd /s".  Changing the compatibility mode isn't going to make it work again.

My favorite part about BioShock was at the beginning.  You crash your plane, walk into a, uh, place, find a needle, and, without prompting and for no real reason, JAB IT INTO YOUR ARM AND INJECT YOURSELF WITH WHATEVER, THEN WONDER WHY YOU SEE ZAPPIES COMING FROM YOU AND FREAK THE FUCK OUT.

Haven't they released the PC version yet? Speaking of which I still need to buy a new PC.

Not for a while yet. Honestly, Mass Effect ended up kinda lame. Story's boring, characters don't interact enough and your own character is too malleable to be interesting.

That, and the massive amount of recycling of locations, character models, gestures and any number of things.

It's way too easy too.

I wanted Bioshock pretty badly, but after I played a tiny bit at a friends house and I saw this

Also I hate having depressing dreams, especially about a girl.

The only real complaint I had about Bioshock was the fact that there's only really about 6 enemies through the course of the game, and the combat is really easy. Aside from that, it's amazing.

Woo, finished my first week of training about an hour ago. I'm proud of myself :O

One more week to go, but I'm tired as hell due to lack of sleep this week, so thank goodness for the weekend and being able to sleep in.

Also, scholastically, this week was a joke. I had no homework (as usual) and also no projects or tests to worry about. Essentially I slept through or chilled in all of my classes. It was great. :D

Edit: Oh wow, 4chan got owned. When the hell did this happen?
