I meant on complex graphic processing... I mean, sure, I'd opt for that over other cards at that price, if I was going to be buying a cheap-ass card and playing games that would push ti to it's limit, texture wise, but I'd rather spend a little more money and get a card that won't run like shit the second something needs some complex gemoetry processing.

Also, how do I fix Stepmania. My brother fucked up my graphics drivers, i reinstalled them, and now Stepmania skips frames, enough for it to really bother me when playing. I HATE jerky arrow movement.
This is going in my sig. :)

Not everyone needs a high-end graphics card.  The card that you linked to would be perfect for someone like my dad.  It has enough power to run decent games and enough texture memory to handle newer games with the settings dropped.

My card could beat it if you strictly go by GPU performance, but that card would probably run newer games smoother (or, at the very least, with crisper textures) than mine solely due to the fact that it has double the texture memory.  It's a fine card for what you pay for it.

Go into the StepMania.ini and you should see an option that specifies whether to use Direct3D or OpenGL.  Try using the opposite of what it's using.

Ok, that fixed it, but it also disabled vsync when I saved, so i dunno whether vsync was being a problem, oh well, it works.

Vsync is what makes the whole screen update at the same time.  If you turn Vsync off you will probably see sections of the screen updating slightly after other sections.

Shit, you me and milk should hang. If you're any where near Jupiter, that is.

Jupiter looks like it's about 3-4 hours from here. And yeah, milk fled the coop D:

Anyone know of good software to use for tracking chiptunes-like songs beside Modplug Tracker?  More specifically, I want to track speedcore stuff...

If you want to track NES-like stuff, try FamiTracker.  If you want to track C64-like stuff, try GoatTracker.

Other than that, uh...I dunno.  You could always use chip samples in MPT; same basic effect and you usually get more effects at your disposal.  You could also use a VST plugin such as QuadraSID with OpenMPT since that supports VSTs.

There's also MilkyTracker and MadTracker (which supports VSTs). There's actually quite a range of trackers out there. I mean, most songs done in MadTracker aren't even retro. That program is designed to bring tracking into modern music. (or modern music into tracking.)

Those don't make writing chiptunes any easier, though.  MadTracker supports VSTs so you could use something like QuadraSID but MilkyTracker is just another tracker.

OpenMPT also has the advantage of being based off Modplug Tracker, a program that Pancake seems to be already familiar with.

My family is supposed to go up to my sister's place in Brooksville, about an hour north of here. None of us want to drive an hour there and back just to see her for a little while and have dessert with her. It's not worth it D:
