Well, if it involves having a needle inserted into my mouth to freeze me, then something's gonna have to be done differently, because there's no way they're doing that when I'm awake. I hate needles as it is, so if they have to give me on in my mouth, there's no fucking way I'll be able to make myself do that. Last needle I had was one to vaccinate me for Meningitis C, and I needed a 10 mg Valium tablet to calm me down enough.

Try to get them to knock you out if something like that has to happen.  Tell them that you freak the fuck out when it comes to needles or something.

And they're closed New Year's Day, I don't think you have to worry about working then.

You might want to be put under just because it's boring. And maybe because the tools they use look like tiny swords and you can hear them working.

Yeah, hearing them working would be enough to really really bother me. I hate hating the dentist as well as needles, but as the word phobia is described, they are irrational fears. Not much I can do about them, and when I freak out, I make things much worse. I was twisting my arm while they were trying to draw blood once... With the needle still in my arm. That resulted in a rather large bruise.

Wow so this sucks. I have been addictively playing Half Life 2: Ep. 2 for the past couple of hours (my first time playing it, too) but then I changed the aspect ratio to widescreen and now it will not work.

Lame, I hate how few games support widescreen ratios properly, stuff looks TERRIBLE when stretched on my screen.

Huh...weird, I never had a problem with getting Source engine stuff to work in widescreen.  They must have broken it with a later update or something.

My new year's was alright. I went to my girlfriend's brother's apartment with her and her parents, we just hung out. I didn't really care too much about all the new year's hoopla, it just seemed like another day to me. Today's pretty blah, too, I managed to not feel like getting out of bed until like 1:30, and since then I've just been playing DQM:J obsessively.

My dentist does the same thing, I didn't even notice him using needles when I was a kid. So I went out to about 3 parties last night and saw a decent amount of people I hadn't palled around with in a while, got home about about 3:30 tho. Also in relation to Christmas GAEMS, I just bought Cel damage, Killer 7 and Battalion wars 2. So far I've won about 1 online match in BW2 and lost about 7-8, fun game tho.

I think I just broke up with my girlfriend of over a year. She's in the shower right now and I'm fucking terrified of what she might do while she's alone. She has "a history" so-to-speak.
