Hardkore Atomic (FFR simfile submission)

A simfile I worked on for FFR that I just recently submitted, hoping it will get into the game.

This is probably my best simfile. I definitely put a bit of thought and effort into making it. It's not SUPER CHALLENGING or technical, but it is pretty fun. I've sent it to a few others who thought it was pretty fun.

Song is by Canblaster and I rated it a 10 based on the 1-12 ratings for FFR, but i'd say it would be an average SM 11 or 12. The trickest part of the song is the 42nd burst runs near the end (it's obvious where it is lol) and maybe the triplet jacks. Other than that it's pretty straightforward, no holds or mines or hands (since this is for FFR after all).

I'll keep my hate for FFR out of the conversation, lol. (Let's put it this way.. When I first tried FFR, it was so chunky that 16th streams would cause it to bog down. I could pass nearly anything because all the fast songs because it was so bogged down, lol. (And I didn't like the sims it had). That was a long time ago, but my dislike of FFR hasn't lessened any. I also hate them for taking their old sim archive down. It had a TON of RARE sims that I can't find anywhere any more. Most of which weren't that good, but I wish I could have them just to bring back memories.

Anyway, I'll let you know what I feel about the file after I'm finished.

FFR has actually been playable since they added speed mods and you can always turn quality to low by clicking the little "q" icon at the top left.

Bastards. Why couldn't they have kept the sim collection they had... It's like a museum. There were some rare files there. :/

Finally played it. That was really fun, I got a 92mill A, lol. Looks like I'm gonna have to work on those (48th?) fast sections. They're damn hard to combo.

I don't know what sim i'll start next, maybe Go beyond or something. I still have to start on an edit for Vertex delta/gamma for FFR also.

Vertex Alpha, Beta, Delta (real), Gamma (Real), and from one of your screenshots in the scores thread, an Omega? (or is it a fan-made)


The real Delta is more ambient IIRC than Alpha or Beta. It's kinda like the Alpha to Gamma (How VA is similar to VB).

Theres a couple of songs on there i'd like to see be turned into Stepmania simfiles. That SGX song there, and another one, think its called "stalled out and sushi bars" or something. Not a super challenging song, but a good one.
