Should name everyone Sephiroth.

Also the charm of COD4 is starting to fade for me. Really, the game is pretty damn shallow once you get to the meat of it, and the perk customization is meh with only a few perks being worth it. At least I got my mic working so I can organize my team better.

Damn, I wish my disks were playable.. The joys of getting a game for way cheaper than retail at a pawnshop... (got it for $32 when it was still retailing for like, $80)

I bought mine about 5 years back new in florida and they are still in perfect condition...honestly I can't figure out how the hell people screw up their disks so badly.

Like, my FFVIII was bought used because there is no way in hell I can find a new one, and the disks were way too screwed up.  I've gotten to the end but only after i pretty much submerged disk 3 in rubbing alcohol and water to get it to play through the cut scene with the monsters going from the moon to earth.  But there were also sooooo many other parts that were skipping and freezing...this one just made me want to break it....and I've owned about 4 different copies of VIII and they all were screwed up to extremeness.

Update: 9/28/08--Added expert difficulties for some songs and a hard difficulty
           9/30/08--Changed reasoning for song pack and added a few songs to Not Started
           10/5/08--Finished AA and have keyboard steps in the second parentheses
           10/14/08--Finished Do It Like We Do and working on a few new ones

I borrowed it from a girl 5 years ago who had obviously lent it out a lot, so the disks were already scratched pretty bad (but still playable) when I got it. She never wanted it back, though.

I have a used copy of 8 with some scratches that don't affect the game in any way I've seen, and a used copy of 9 in excellent condition. Of course, buying used PS1 games as popular as these is always a gamble, so I just got lucky twice.

Didn't you guys play games when they were new? I didn't even have a PS1 until FF8 came out but with all of the re-re-re-releases of stuff over the PS1's life cycle, it couldn't have been that hard to find a cheap new copy.

Also, the best part of naming Red XIII "Nanaki" is that you get the line: Who's Nanaki? Nanaki is Nanaki!


Also also, I finished Last Remnant. It is one of the hardest RPGs ever made. It is basically Romancing Saga Tactics/4.

Also also also, I am currently playing Prince of Persia, which is fantastic. Like super fantastic. Probably finish it tonight and I started it last night.

I didn't have a PS1 till after FF8 and by then FF8 was pretty much ruined disks for every used copy ever...I remember renting it from a blockbuster and not even being able to see the opening movie with rinoa and the fight scene where they get their scars.

I always had named my Red XIII "nanaki" because my friend told me that was the real name of it so I just figured hey what the heck...and yes that line is awesome to see.

I heard the Last Remnant was amazing!

Prince of Persia (new one) blows sands of time away...but when sands of time first came out it was the best out pretty much.

Also, people tell me they always get Aeris for the dating scene, but I've never gotten anyone other than Tifa (except this one time when I followed a dating guide and got Barret).
