Hazama's probably going to end up in mid to upper tier. He has great defense because of all of his escape possibilities, solid HP, fairly easy and solid bnb combos and his distortions are both quite useful, although the not Hotenjin needs a backthrow to land it 100%. Hotenjin can be stuck in all sorts of combos, is great for counters (that's its main function really) and he has some fair range. His problems include being slower up close, most of his combos need a certain distance to maintain and his other specials aren't really that great aside from his one special that leads into the leaping forward kick, the backflip kick and the launcher for his combos.

I'll probably end up using Hazama and Tager. Tager's a lot faster and his normals have some good invulnerability to them now (as does atomeek COLLIDOR). Damage is a little lower and his proration's worse I think but man that extra speed boost really evens things out.

All the Mass Effect 2 DLC from the various collector's editions is up for free right now when it shouldn't be. I snagged all of it.

i rarely play games in long bursts, period.  generally i play about 2-5 hours of vidya per week.  

i got mass effect round the time i took the picture in the happy thread.  my file has 12.5 hours on it.

so far i am using mordin and jack with my soulja shepard.  

been using EVERY weapon because of the ammo thing, mainly the heavy carnifex (MA GAH 40k) pistol.  why the fuck am i using a pistol?  it rapes house over my shotgun/assault rifle in mid range fo sho.  ohh ohh and sniper rifles don't suck anymore, I ACTUALLY USE THEM

Tager is a surprising amount of fun, and I've NEVER been the one to play one of the heavy characters in a fighting game. Outside of that, Nu seems to have a lot of cool tricks, Arakune seems to be mostly mind games and sort of goofy. Still need to play everyone, but I really doubt I'll do anything with Carl.

next step, doing EVERYTHING!  (every n7 quest, every upgrade, deplete every planet)

wouldn't have thought it before buying the game, but i use different characters than i thought i would use.  

mordin is generally always there, and thane/jacob alternate depending on what i feel i want.  because there are none of the "ally" achievements in this game, im not afraid to switch some oddball in there for the sake of using him/her/it.  

this game better not break my balls with liara in mass effect 3, because i passed up getting it on with garrus in hopes liara gets finished with her obsession on trying to take down the shadow broker.

now that i think of it, if i don't like how something turns out in mass effect 3, i would have to replay 3 fucking games to get what i want.  it isn't a problem, but for an obsessive freak like myself, i would do something like that.

There is no way I'm going to bother getting every upgrade. Scanning is the single most tedious and retarded idea I've seen. Oh boy! 1200 Platinum! I only need 50,000 for each upgrade! And it's SO SLOW. It honestly kind of ruins the game. Well, the dumbing everything down to basically being Dark Sector with some conversation choices does it the most but the scanning hurts a lot. Shooting stuff is still fun and I've played too much to not see where the whole thing goes but still, there are a lot of things I don't like with the direction Bioware's been going with their big releases. I largely blame it on EA.

41 hours, i guess i didn't get every upgrade, i must have missed some random upgrades in places i can't go back to, not a big problem.  i also decided to go with garrus since liara sounds more like an enemy than a friend in this game, i only wanted her for the lesbian sex anyway.

game beaten, i swear they made joker not suck this time around, he's actually kind of awesome in this game.  joker, mordin, legion, garrus, probably my favorite characters in this game.  but to be honest, i really didn't dislike anybody.  i didn't much like miranda until i talked to her AFTER beating the game (shouldn't be a spoiler, they let you run around to complete shit you didn't complete and whatever dlc they release in the future.), earned some brownie points with me.

reckon ill talk more about it later, probably the best game im going to play until

-any fucking blizzard game

whichever comes first, probably mass effect 3 if we take inconsideration blizzard's 30 year cycle to make a game

a final note (lolrly with how many times i edit each post) mass effect 1 has better credits than mass effect 2, otherwise it's improved across the board.

got to see my friend play a bunch of mass effect 2. Looks awesome, and I fucking love the script writers. Seriously, I love how they actually give your character a personality, whule still letting you make choices. Like when someone wants you to give up your weapons... The choices being no, or hell no, lol.

seriously though, i am so fucking OCD with these games.  still, i got the me2 paramour achiecement i otherwise wouldn't have gotten, and since i am going for every achievement, no loss.

The only achievements I'm missing after one playthrough are Insanity and Warp Specialist or whatever. And I'll do those in the next couple of days just to finish it off.

No way.  They're one of the only companies with the money and balls to stand up to fuckwits like Tim Langdell.

Also, even if their games are subpar, at least they've started to lay off the DRM unlike the morons running 2K.
