Man, shit's coming together this week. I got a conditional acceptance (which I'm in the process of getting what I need for a full acceptance) at Georgian College, I got my G2 (and I did the test hung over, at that!), and I got a job. All within a week's time.

Fucking A. Seriously, how the hell did this happen?

The only part that sucked was that the hangover is probably the worst one I've ever had (I still felt a bit sick at 3:30 AM the next night.)
This is going in my sig. :)

Awww...my 10-year-old LG DVD-ROM drive died. :(

Oh well.  You could probably get about five or six DVD±RW DL drives for what that thing cost when it was new (I just picked up a Toshiba/Samsung 20x DVD±RW DL drive for $25, after all), so it's not a huge deal.  Even so, it's sort of strange for me; that drive saw me through five computers (a total of seven motherboards!) so it's definitely going to be weird not having it.

Also, Iron Man rocks.

And congratulations, Boobids. :)

Lol, I start Tuesday, 11 PM.

Man, that company has a lot of benefits and stuff. It's part of the gigantic Loblaw corporation, which is apparently the second largest employer in all of Canada. They've got a ton of benefits, financial stuff, and shit. I was kinda surprised.

WHAT DA FUK.

So I got a DVD burner from Target (at horribly inflated prices...but oh well, I kinda needed it) to replace my bad DVD-ROM and what happens?  I GET THE EXACT SAME FUGGIN DVD WRITER THAT I JUST BOUGHT.

So now I have two TSST SH-S202J DL DVD±RW drives.  Now the question is, do I move both of them to my new system or keep it as-is (i.e. LITE-ON + TSST in my new system, TSST in my old one)?  Meh, too much work.  It's fine how it is.

Also, whatchu going to do there, Bobbs?

Does youtube downsize or degrade videos? I've tried uploading a higher quality Divx but it looked like the first one I had up there. So I deleted the 'new' one and renamed the file since it was exactly the same as the first. Hopefully this fixes it :( I don't want it to be all pixelated and shit

Yeah, YouTube knocks down the quality to make them more streamable.

In some cases it'll give an option for a higher quality movie but that depends on the codec that you use.  I saved and uploaded my MAX 300 video in Windows Media format and it allows for a higher quality mode, while my Portal video, which is in XviD, doesn't.

Just got back from seeing Harold and Kumar. Kickass movie, it was hilarious. Saw it with my girlfriend and her parents-- they liked it a lot too, haha.

Also, just picked up The World Ends With You. Gonna start playing it, will report back on its level of amazing real soon.

So I saw Iron Man on friday. It was awesome.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

Iron Man is very possibly the best superhero movie made so far. Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect Tony Stark, down to the goatee. The second movie should hopefully follow Stark's alcoholism and have him accidentally killing an innocent, having Rhodie get the War Machine armor and then having Rhodie get taken over by the armor, leading to Stark stepping up to face him.

Also, the scene after the credits gave me a nerdgasm.
