Well, SMF might only update people's actual images periodically. Or, your computer was using the cache every time, and it finally refreshed the image in the cache.

I have SMF set to download avatars to s.net and process them.  If there was anything wrong with the image that would prevent gd (I think it uses gd, anyway) from manipulating it, it would reject it.

That happened whenever I uploaded a new avatar. The image changed whenever I cleared the cache, so I'm guessing they're given the same name when uploaded.

I'm never returning to youtube.  They blocked my video for 'copyright infringement'. I didn't claim ownership, or anything. It was just a video of GTA IV. EVERYBODY else's GTA vids better be fucking taken down, or I call bull shit.

One thing i've done is tried to make the videos as close to legitimate free use as possible. Make it seem educational, like there's some way you need to show something in the game, but the only way to do it is by actually showing the video. Even just a horrible parody is enough to constitute fair use.

In my opinion, youtube is extremely lenient about what you can upload. Profanity isn't even an item on youtube. Think of all of those 9 second clips on youtube that claim to be porn and have millions of views. If you look at the most viewed of all time list, these videos are conveniently off the list... So clearly, youtube has the decency to hide these videos so moms and whoever else don't stumble upon it by mistake (no pun intended), without needing to actually remove the video.

In fact, if I recall correctly, youtube didn't even want to remove videos during the whole Viacom fiasco. They had basically said, "Okay, then sue us." Then, when Viacom finally threatened, youtube told Viacom they had to tell youtube which videos constituted copyright infringement, so they knew which videos to review for removal. Talk about a pain in the ass for Viacom.

TLDR; try fair use, youtube is lenient.

All GTA IV vids except the promotional trailers were removed. maybe I can disguise it, but I'm too pissed at them now to give a flying shit. I can understand family guy being taken off, but a fucking video game? Jesus christ, like Take 2 games is going to make a 'share your gta clips' website like SKATE did. Yea right. Someone went on a power trip "OMG I HAVE ZE POWAR TO DO DIS LOLS LETS FUCK WITH THEM"

It's not like I'm selling the game here, with TV like I said, it's understandable because people pay to have to to be able to watch things like family guy. People DO purchase games to play them, but you can't "play" a game on youtube if that makes sense.. it's just a demonstration of a way a player went through one of the most exciting missions in the game [3 leaf clover]. And the company wants to take that away from the gamers, then fine, less free advertising for them.

I just get pissed off when companies get like that, like a fucking child going thru the 'everything is MINE' stage of it's life. Metallica/U2 perfect example for the music industry, which is another conversation, same attitude.

I just want take 2 to explain themselves. No harm was being done, no money was being made or profited, no one was being ridiculed or anything. I don't see any reason why that happened..

i make this post, on my pc, but not my regular 19 inch lcd monitor (not widescreen). 

i woke up today, and my sister tells me to go to the garage, i have no idea why, and i was about to take a shower.  so my shower gets posponed, and i go to the garage with my dad and my sister....

to keep it short, i can not believe how spoiled i am, i do not fucking deserve this, and i am very greatful. 

so for some reason, my sister and my dad pitch in and got me one of these fucking things. 

and i guess i have one of these because i am not going to the bahamas with them (the heat there would fucking kill me) and apparently, this big fucking tv is cheaper than if i was to go.  i mean, i still don't understand it, but fuck, this is like awesome, save for the fact people are now going to hate me(i actually have a scarily big feeling that people will get pissy with me due to this).

and diddling around the computer on a 42 inch hdtv is pretty bitchin, save for the fact i lack a long cord to go from tv to pc, a wireless mouse, and a wireless keyboard, and too lazy to hook up the speakers.  so shortly after this is posted, im hooking it back up to the 19 inch.

i really need to win the lottery so i can buy my parents a mansion or something, at the very least i could get my mom a new desktop(ill probably do that several months after i get a job).

anyway, gta 4 online, hd, sex, cum, ect.

definatley going to keep the old tv though, playing iidx on an hdtv is like playing dead rising on a non hdtv.  (especially 8 and 9, NO TIMING ADJUSTMENT, basically making them literally unplayable, at least i can play 12th and 13th)

Only cut it if you REALLY want to, or else your going to regret it. Considering you're only going to cut it a little I would just go for it.
