lol.

Well, it's not like I'd be able to get there any time before I'm 21 anyway. And yeah, being broke sucks. Thank god I have my job.

Yeah, thank god I have a class that's sucking the life and money from me, at least my mother is helping me with it. Also

http://enchantingidols.blogspot.com/2007/05/akina-minami-gallery.html

There were posters of her in MGS4, so I googled the name and liked what I saw (really too skinny, but that's besides the point). Then I looked at her age and realized that I was older, this kind of freaked me outfor 30 seconds and still makes me feel weird.

Heh, nice.

Yeah, she's a bit on the skinny side, but not too bad, her ribcage isn't really showing. It is kinda weird to think that I'm actually older than girls in porn that are 18 or 19, lol.

I just deleted my porn folder to free up some space, since I hadn't actually used it since I don't even remember. As such, I forgot I made it invisible (not hidden, actually invisible), and I forgot where I'd put it.

In other news, I found a copy of Ender's Game on a bookshelf in my house, so I started reading it. I haven't voluntarily read a book since I read Dan Brown's Deception Point over a year ago.

Also, I hate being a slow reader.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

I like being a relatively quick reader. I think part of the reason I'm a quick reader is because I've been reading heavily for pretty much all of my life, and I learned to read early.

Enders Game is an awesome book, and Orson Scott Card is a great writer, too bad I don't own any of the other books in that series.

If I read too fast, the words get out of order in my head. Sometimes a few words will mix together. Like, if I see "shell, "like," and "fame" on separate lines really fast, all I'll read is the word "shake" until I reread it. I can't really read much faster than I can talk.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}

How is Deception Point? It's the only one of his novels I haven't read. Worth checking out?

I enjoyed it, otherwise I wouldn't have read all of it.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}

I can skim really quickly, but at that speed I'm actually reading subconsciously, I can't really recall the words, but I know what it said. However, my average reading speed is somewhere around 100 pages an hour.

But I would definitely say that I've had a couple reasons for reading as much as I have. My parents taught me to read before kindergarten (which IIRC I went into when I was 3, because we have 2 years of it sometimes). I was such a good reader by then that none of the shitty books they had interested me, because I'd read them once and get bored. The other part is that when I was being bullied and shit in school, part of my way of dealing with shit wa escapism, and I could manage to lose myself in a book in such a way that I was completely occupied by the book, and didn't have to think about schol, and all that shit. So there are really 2 primary reasons I read so much.

However, since then, I've come to really enjoy reading without using it as a form of escape. Unfortunately, I'm rather picky about stuff I read. If it's fantasy, it has to conform to what I want very heavily. It can't be any of those shitty fantasy books aimed at "young adults" or teenagers, it has to be a completely serious, well written story with characters that aren't childish and preferably a complex plot. It also has to be long. Half the time I pick up a new series, it's either because the books were huge, or because the plot sounds interesting. And by interesting, I mean complex and most likely involving some form of magic that isn't simply "Oh, I can cast spells".
This is going in my sig. :)

I have a couple books in that, but haven't read them, because i don't have the first couple.

Also, I'm not a Steven King fan. His writing is rather basic.

I'm talking about stuff like A song of Ice and Fire, and the Malazan Book of the Fallen, and the Prince of Nothing trilogy and such.

Yeah, but she's still skinny. I feel bad now, I'm about that skinny (not that bad, but I only weigh 125ish). Also awesome face plus awesome chest = awesome.

Also I've been trying to read slaughter house 5, a child's quest and I haven't been able to do it, despite liking the book and all.

Just got home from hanging out with my girlfriend and her little black cousin all day. 'Twas a fun time.

Edit: Also, leaving in a few hours on my road trip. Be back in two weeks, don't kill each other while I'm gone :D

My cat's asleep on my lap. I now have the option of moving the cat and standing up, or convincing myself that there's more I want to do on the computer and I don't want to go read Speaker for the Dead.

Code: [Select]
f(u,c,k,_,y,e,a,h)
{return u*u*u*u-u*u*u*_+u*u*y-u*e+a?k?f(u+1,c,k-1,_,y,e,a,h):0:putchar(u-c+h)==f(u+1,u,k-1,_,y,e,a,h);}
main(){return f(0,0,34,84,2423,26628,72864,98)<putchar(32)>f(0,0,40,125,5809,118995,906750,96)==~putchar(10);}
