THE MANLY CAR THREAD
« on: April 07, 2008, 02:13:07 PM »
Aight, this is a thread to talk about all of our dope rides yo.

srsly, I drive a VoltsWagon GTI VR6 2.8L, and this little fucker has some pull to it. Currently I'm trying to put some more after market parts into this beast, like a new air intake. Today I found this bomb exhaust for it too http://www.car-stuff.com/carparts/volkswagengolf19951998pacesetterp408813441.html.

Lately I've been driving a 2006 Ford Five Hundred with the CVT transmission.  It has better pick up than I thought it would.

My car is a 1995 Saturn SC2 -- 1.9L I4, 124 hp (stock).  I swapped the standard air filter for an open-air intake and had a sport muffler put on it when the stock one got retardedly loud.  It also has a switchable performance chip which makes it crazy fun to drive.

haha, Saturns are big plastic easter eggs. The plastic body is a cool concept though, no dents FTW.

Indeed.

The only problem with them is that the plastic can crack if it's hit hard enough, but it's no worse than crumpled metal.

Another nice thing with a mostly-plastic body (I say "mostly-plastic" because the hood, trunk lid, and headlight covers are metal) is that the car loses a lot of weight as a result.  My Satty only weighs a ton and, as a result, the dinky 124hp engine actually manages to move that car pretty quickly.

I drive a 2004 Pontiac Grand AM. I'm not too big on speed and what not, but the car can go when it wants to. Its got a V6 in it with like, close to 200Hp I think.
This looks basically identical to mine, cept I got different rims. I'm also getting mine done up for the summer (Body kit, Rims, decals, and Street Glow) Thinking a darkish kinda blue would go good with it.

Body kit

Please do us all a favor and make sure it's painted before you bolt it on...otherwise I'm going to start up the Rice Burner again and showcase your car there. :P

Ricers are awful, you can tell those people LOVED that the fast and the furious. Also still rocking the stock EVERYTHING 88 bronco 2. Looks like a new car practically (minus a rusty spot on the back) Also the stereo wires are all messed up, so I have to listen to it somewhat high just to get all of them working.

It's beyond badass, it's hardcore. :D

And it took us to GameWorks where we played three-puck air hockey (complete with elevator muzak), so it's awesome for that little fact alone.

My mom's lease on her old Grand Am is finally over, and she just got a new 2008 Pontiac G5. The car is small as fuck when length is concerned, but it's got better head room than her old Grand Am did. Well, at least it'll likely be easy to parallel park.

I would quite literally kill someone for a car like that.

Ok, not literally, but either way, that shit is wicked.
