Also played some DDR-X with Mr. OmegaOmni last week.  The pads are absolute shit.  I mean, holy shit is that thing poorly designed.  If I were Konami I'd be suing the fuck out of the jokers who designed that.

That machine is apparently gone now.  Also, for a considerably better (yet still pretty unacceptable) experience with DDRX, go to Harrisburg!  That machine was downright amazing in comparison.  Still lags like nobody's business, but I could at least AA some stuff when I attempted to compensate for said lag.  The machine at FFA tried to fail me several times.  xD

On the bright side, I got three new AAAs, one being my first doubles AAA.  Unfortunately, they're all on light, so it's really useless to give much of a hoot about it.  :3

Cabinet changes in North America

As was stated by Konami at ASI, significant changes were made to the DDR X cabinets released in the United States. In comparison to models that had been exhibited before release, the new cabinets featured different lighting and sound systems, the inclusion of USB ports rather than SD cards as had been previously announced, and a monitor experiencing large amounts of lag. Significant changes to the construction of the pads themselves were also made, including the pad being covered by one piece of metal rather than the traditional design of separate panels (with its connection to the main cabinet covered by a metallic platform), and lower quality sensors in the pads themselves, all inferring that the manufacturers cut corners in the construction of the cabinets.

Yes, it is an easy 33(?). Whatever the difficulty is, it should be about 8-10 less, lol. I've seen 20's that are harder. Like I said, once you get past about 20, the difficulty ratings are absolute bullshit.

I played StepMania for the first time since forever.  Holy god I suck.  I mean I really suck.  I couldn't even make it through Skor's Emerald Sword before my fingers cramped up. <.<  I used to be able to easily AAA that shit!

IIDX was easier to get back into.  I literally picked up the controller, not having played for about half a year, and was right back to passing 10s.  StepMania is more hardcore, apparently.
