I could do "More Than A Feeling" expert in GH1 while facing away from the TV.  I think that's the only thing I can do in "stealth mode" in any music game.

And yeah, rocking out while playing GH/RB is the only way to play it.

So I guess I should be proud to say I can do the first 40% of devil went down to georgia solo, expert without looking?

I passed Colors [h] for my second time ever, hahaha.

The ending seems easy to me all of a sudden -- I was able to A it before I could even pass it a second time.

Passed Paranoia Max [a] finally. Until now I never thought to towel it and play HS1 instead of HS2.
And I passed Era [h] again, proving that it's not just a fluke, lol.
This is going in my sig. :)

Heh, that's ironic.  I made a point to play PARANOiA Max [7A] earlier today.  That chart is ridiculously fun.

I forgot how fun IIDX is.  Why on earth did I stop playing it for so long?

do you recall hitting a wall?

because after the initial awesome of 14th style blows off, i will definatley be playing less due to this 10-11* (would be just 11, but 14th is REALLY kicking my ass at the moment) wall that i just can't seem to overcome.

on the flip side, the timing in 14th seems to be the easiest sofar, so maby i can work on accuracy for once.

Nah.  I've pretty much always been progressing slowly and steadily (unlike in Pop'n, where I hit a definite wall, stopped playing, and by the time I started again I was on the other side of the wall).

Now that I think about it, most of the time I spent not playing directly coincides directly with the time that I didn't have access to a fliptopped PS2 and my games.  *doh*

ITT: IIDX; Spectere makes a realization.

We pressed on. Shortly afterwards, we arrived in a poisonous, post-apocalyptic hell - a sprawling, toxic dumping ground stretching for a mile or two. This is the final resting place for your old TV, computer or mobile phone.

why is kakumei [a] a 10, when kakumei [h] is a 10?

i mean, kakumei [h] is passable, and kakumei [a] feels like a hard 11.  actually, several songs i seem harder 11's or just regular 11's are 10's in this game, the fuck bemani.  like lovley storm, it was the perfect difficulty for an 11, and it was an 11 in 12th, now they call it a 10, FFFFFFFF.

anyway, pass kakumei [h], again (random olol, but i did pass it nonrandom on 8th style back in the day when i didn't suck as much as i do now)

*edit*

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

first 11* pass in 14th style

vanessa [h] C

the end of this song makes it feel more like an 11 than negeki no ki [h] (which if dawn the next endeavour didn't exist, would be the easiest 11 i have ever played)

A crossroad [a]

when i played this, i was thinking "hey, this is pretty tricky, i hope i don't fail" then i pass and see the A (believe me, A's are rare for me, hence why i post them) and im all "well thats surprising"

Well you're silly vlad lovely storm was an easy ass 11 its a mid 10 at most.

And why is abyss the heavens [h] a 10 when the [a] is a 10? The [h] honestly is a 9.

And another thing: Timing never differs from any style. From 9th on its always been the same timing, and there's been people who have looked at the timing windows in the game and there are no differences. Its just psychological and it might have to do with interface colors, like I find BMUS the most annoying to timing because of the bright purple interface.

The fact that the later styles have tons of different scroll speed selections probably helps.  I prefer to play revivals in later styles for that reason alone -- some of the 0.5 speeds make things significantly easier.

And yeah, BMUS totally threw me off.  I couldn't even swing an A (err, "AAA") on V [7k] even though I can consistently do it on other styles without breaking a sweat.  Of course, the fact that I couldn't stop gagging the entire time I was playing probably didn't help matters at all.
