Ok today holy shit...

Blah blah AAA'd some more Red 7k (all 2s-5s on 7k AAA'd now). Got two good AAAs today: Resonate 1794 7k and Abyss the heavens [h] :).

Also failed Drunk monky [a] with a 74%. I was in the red at the end but messed up one of the 5 chords and slipped out of the red. Ugh...

For clears:
-Cleared Gambol [a] (15 max combo) with a B
-Cleared erasermotorphantom [a] with an A
-Cleared Kagonotori [a] with an A (holy fuck about time I cleared it)
And then uhh this one surprised me...

HOLY SHIT AA [a] CLEAR.

I played some of the two dix tonight and came to the conclusion that the keychart data for A [7K] and Colors (Radio Edit) [7K] obviously got easier in the numerous months that I haven't been playing.  That's the only explanation I can think of for why I can pass both of them with ease now.

Not bad. I could probably never get past that ridiculous damned intro. I played pro face off and got something like 82% notes hit though.

I either full combo the intro or fail the song.  I haven't played GH3 enough to be able to recover from missing taps.

I need to get used to the guitar more than anything else.  I've gotten spoiled by the fret buttons on the Rock Band guitar.  The X-Plorer controller's buttons are considerably better than the sticky, unresponsive ones from my old PS2 guitar but they aren't as easy to press as the ones on the Rock Band controller.

I actually hate playing the rock band controller. I like the clicking sounds the pick bar makes on the GH controller, and rock band's guitar's buttons make me lose my hand too often, because their little dots to show you what key your on suck. Give me that nce big bar on yellow and some space between keys like on the GH controllers any day.

My wrist hurts.

Also, video of FAILURE (5:32, 7.39MB, XviD/Vorbis): http://files.spectere.net/videos/gh3/ttfaf/2008-08-13-68p.avi

Most of the fuckups at the end were basically because my wrist was getting sore.  I need to play more.

Well, by the time I finished that song, I was unable to play any more for quite some time.
This is going in my sig. :)

My wrist has gotten over its emo-ness (I played about two hours of Rock Band, then did TTFAF four times in a row, getting at least 70% in all four times) so I don't think that'll be an issue anymore.  Now I just need to learn the solos.  I've improved the beginning by quite a lot and managed to get all the way up to Herman's Solo I before even having to deploy Star Power.  Maybe I should actually load this song up in training, haha.

Maybe thats my problem. I use 1 hand playing the intro lol.

Some people actually do play it like that (some people go so far as to consider tapping cheating despite it being an actual guitar technique that's used in that bloody song, even), but...ugh, that just sounds like it'd be painful. :P

I use a somewhat different tapping system than most people people seem to use.  Everyone seems to use their left index for green and their left middle for red, then the other three with their right hand.  I use my left index for green and my right hand for the rest of the buttons.

Didn't you used to play guitar Spec?  I mean I have seem the expert chart for TTFATF and I suck at doing hammer ons.
